And in the very brief pause between "actually" and "be here" there isn't an abrupt insertion of "silence", in the middle of these words, denoting that area of the audio track is different from the rest. It's so subtle to a point you'll never notice any difference, if you didn't pay enough attention and knew in the previous releases the "be here" that follows "would actually" was said quickly by the actor. The pause in the case of the UHD isn't awkward, it sounds natural.
Well, yes, that's why I didn't use the term dropout myself here anymore after listening to it myself: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...postcount=6057

I tend to choose my words rather carefully.

I already own the HD versions on iTunes, and they have been upgraded to 4K with Atmos.

I watched all three films as soon as I got the set with no problem but I went to watch part III last night and it freezes in three places. Sure enough there are scratches on the disc. I was careful when I put it back in. Anyways, amazon is sending a replacement and hopefully they are scratch free. If so I will just store them in different packaging.

give a careful check even if it has no scratches, it's often how a disc was pressed or finger prints that affect playback the most (not that a scratch might not be able to cause an issue)

neither of my sets had scratches but the steelbook ones with the supposedly safer packaging didn't play, just a hideous mess of stuttering and freezing while the ones from the sleeves managed to play

All 3 of my steelbook ones played perfectly all the way through including all the extras. Two were played on a Sony X1000ES and the other on a Panasonic UB9000.

Having the inferior digital versions doesn't count at all unless you have the proper superior physical release.

Have you ever stopped to think that this type of response might actually push more people away from physical media? This kind of stuff can leave a bad taste in people's mouths in terms of what their perception of the physical media community is like.

Pure entertainment from start to finish.
Back To The Future trilogy is my second favourite trilogy. My favourite trilogy is the Danish The Pusher trilogy, not well known but in my opinion is the best overall film trilogy ever made. Definitely one for people to check out

LOTR trilogy and The Godfather trilogy (The Godfather Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone hopefully is a better edit of the last film) are of course also in my top 5.

Fugly? My grandma is fugly. This is downright nasty. It looks like what I would think a place with electricity would look like if it were built by the Amish.*

Ditto! If we've made it this far, I'm hoping that's a very positive sign. I was pleased as punch to pull up my order just a few minutes ago and discover I was finally able to update the delivery address! I had it shipping to a UK friend who will happily forward it on to me, but I would much rather have it come directly to my. Yes, shipping is a little expensive, but Global Priority was only a few pounds more than the standard shipping option, plus the removal of VAT largely covers the shipping cost anyway.

All that said, I'm going to be keeping my fingers crossed until I get the shipping notification and then I'll keep them crossed a bit longer until I have the set in my hands.

Fellow Americans who have the Time Circuits set preordered from Amazon UK, the site finally allowed me to change my address to my legitimate U.S. one! Woot!

Finally watched the first one tonight. (Barely got my first 4K TV last week.) No playback issues, thankfully. You guys had me worried there. I thought the film looked great, although I noticed the grain did get pretty heavy right around the time Marty wrote the letter to Future Doc. It actually kind of looked different from the filmic grain that was present throughout the presentation.

I watched the first 2 last night and overall very impressed. It's just a shame that 10minute or so segment around 1:14 into the movie looks so rough now. It's not as bad as I was fearing but the picture does start looking a bit VHS like with weird horizontally smeared looking grain.

II looked great considering the dated effects. I expected way more ropey shots.

What made me laugh is that at the end of I (and re-used footage at start of II) when the Doc pulls up in the Delorean you can clearly see the stunt double through the windshield. Looks nothing like the Doc. Never noticed it before.

Yeah, always lol'd at the stunt double. It looks like George Washington just rocked up in the time machine

Some of the doubles used in Star Trek TOS were painfully obvious in a similar, jarring fashion in the HD upgrades performed for those seasons. Space Seed comes to mind.

Even when watching those as a kid the doubles were always so blatant to me, their body types weren't even close to the principal actors and you don't need HD to see that. But the HD does make it more pronounced than ever, yes.

I got my set off an eBay seller without the digital code for around $24. Watched part one last night and it froze and skipped at the dinner scene as well. Took out the disc cleaned it off and it did it again. I was so disappointed because my family and were enjoying it so much up until then. We finished the movie with the normal Blu-ray. I contacted the seller but he has not responded yet but eBay said they would step in if he doesn't contact me by Dec. 5th.

My question is what are the people with faulty discs doing? Is there a replacement program? Are they returning it back to the seller ie. Gruv, amazon, best buy and are the replacement sets working properly? Is there a way to tell if the faulty discs have number specific to them?

I guess I'm lucky since this is the first UHD I've had problems with after buying so many. I'd appreciate any guidance.

I haven't checked part 2 or 3 but are you saying your ok with part 1 freezing and skipping? It's one of my favorite movies, I need to figure out how to fix this asap.
