I wanted to order Charlie and Chocolate Factory from amazon.uk, has anybody imported this title? does it work fine in US players? I'm believe it should work, being a Warner release.

It says it is region free here.

The UK copy is region B only.

The japan import is region A. But it is too expensive. Unles syou want to spend $40-$50 to get this.

Im tempted to. Amazon.co.jp has it too ($37)..much cheaper but i cant even freaking log in there because apparently you have to have a different username to go on that even if you have an amazon usa account.

Doesn't really mean anything unless someone submits information into the database here. The site just defaults to the region the disc is released in.

I'd be very surprised if it's not region-free. It'd be the first Warner release to not be.

They usually put a note if there is anything unusual such as PAL extras.

I already imported it from the UK. It is region free, and is identical to the US HD-DVD except that this Blu-ray has TrueHD audio in addition to the lossy 640kbps track. I loved the film...imported with Goonies. As with other Warner titles the disc is identical to the US version, which will probably be released this Summer. At only $25 shipped, i'd easily reccomend it to fans of the film. Plays great on my Samsung 1500, 1600, Panasonic bd-35, and my PS3.

Its very sharp, very gray when its gray, very bright when there is color.

I'd give it 4.5/5
