Yes, it's a genuinely terrific film. I think it's a shame so many (here on this forum) and in general are dismissing it as an 'old persons movie'.

I agree, I'm 22 and this was a intense gripping thriller. Slow enough to build up the story properly and develop the characters, but not a slog. And when it gets violent, it gets pretty harsh (it earns that R rating by the climax without getting gratuitous). However character focused thrillers are niche in this day and age now, which sucks, as many good ones are often left in the dust by most.
