TS1-3 are amazing, and 1 and 3 are stone cold classics. So I don't see a lot of fighting on these newest BttF releases, but I have heard some issues with DNR and encoding or sound errors. Is this trilogy safe to buy? |

Mine is still preparing for dispatch - boo! What are other US folks experiencing with the Time Circuits set? Has it been sent (or maybe received) yet? Still keeping my fingers crossed for shipment soon!

Got my replacement set and swapped out the scratched blu-rays. I took a look at the new UHD discs out of curiosity, and 1 was scratched up pretty good. Thankfully the UHD discs in the first set I bought were fine because the second set would have been unacceptable. I also swapped out the hoverboard base because I could, since the first one had some scratches don the acrylic sides.
But seriously, screw these miserable sleeves. These discs are very difficult to get out as they don't just fall out when you pinch the sleeves open. They sit tightly inside the sleeves and you have to grab them with a microfiber cloth to extract them and wrestle them out. This is the last set I buy with this packaging. And now it takes up more space because I will be storing them in other cases. I should have just waited until next year when I could get the UK set shipped from Amazon, but I wanted to wrap this up for Christmas. |

It's still available at most stores in my area. It's a hard ask for the casual fan to pay such a premium over the regular set. I, however, am no casual fan, so I'm glad to have it. Not the biggest fan of the artwork, but the regular set is just as bad if not worse. (I hate that they chose Griff as the Tannen of choice to feature on both covers.) My main reason for going steelbook though: disc hubs over cardboard sleeves all day, every day.

People overlooking the Australian release. Bad covers, but individual cases.

Welp, going to have to return my copy to Gruv. There is the tiniest of scratches on the first disc that freezes and pixelates right when Doc is Questioning Marty with his helmet... then it skips to Marty handing doc his family photo.
First real 4K disc issue I've had ever. |
