Or... just don't see it then.
It being part of the continuity regardless of me seeing it or not is what bothers me.

Dad movie, maybe, but any adult using the word daddy evokes images quite different from the one you're trying to project.

This movie is a mistake.
80 year old Harrison Ford could for sure take man in a hat.

Oh...this again. Ehhh. Nope. But good luck with it. Indiana Jones. Great character and the first film is all-world. But thats where it ends. But hey, its the times. Keep trying desperately to spark interest in 40+ year old franchises due to no other options(or an unwillingness to even try). I guess. Enjoy.

Im shocked that Ford wanted Han Solo dead and gone in TFA but hes willing to send Indy Jones back out there in a wheelchair. Hmmmm.

Harrison Ford has wanted Solo to die since Empire Strikes Back...

I seriously doubt it. I can let some things go. I never watched Alien: Covenant. Or Terminator: Genisys. Or Terminator: Dark Fate. Or all of Terminator: Salvation. Or Jurassic World 2. Or the Ghostbusters reboot. All I need in my life from Indiana Jones is the UHD collection, with the first two movies being the most important. I know they're holding it because they wanna cash in on this movie.

Why’s that your expectation?

This is the problem with fandom these days - expectation. Specifically the delusory righteous indignation of the undelivered expectation.

Are they going to go the Rocky Balboa / Jason Bourne route and simply just title the movie after the character, as like a summation of the series? I kind of like that idea actually.
Could be just a placeholder until they figure out the real title.

That story is familiar to me including the James Bond part. Lucas' contribution is indeed not to be taken lightly although I always believed he supplied a general concept, but it's Kaufmann who really added some of the specifics to it.

Although to be honest, I wanted to mention Lawrence Kasdan instead of Kaufmann as the one who wrote the damn thing.

It's not necessarily expectation, but it's what Indiana Jones is about. Treasure hunting, big fights, amazing action setpieces, adventure, romance, masculinity, mystical powers... He was an escapist fantasy, a man we would have liked to be. No one wants to be him late in his senior years. It was never meant to go this far with the same actor.

You're right! It's an actor Rob Ruller in a fan remake. I didn't catch it.

Perfectly stated. Sometimes enough is enough. We’ve reached that critical mass with just about every one of these 80’s characters and sagas but they just can’t let it go. Basically, almost every sequel, prequel and reboot attempt have been massive failures and terrible movies.

Agreed again. I keep asking: who’s asking for Indians Jones films? Is it just a bunch of 50 year olds that are looking for that magic again? It’s not likely going to happen, hate to break the bad news to you. Just go watch the first one and maybe the second. There’s your magic. But an 80 year old Ford fumbling about for two hours? Uh huh. Great.

I don't understand the hate for Spinosaurus, though. People ***** that Spinosaurus would never taken on the T-Rex like that (despite Spinosaurus being bigger in real life). But the Jurassic Park movies were never scientifically accurate to begin with. These are movie monsters, rather than actual dinosaurs.
