Default Too funny!

Last night around 10, in the active members section there were half as many people viewing posts in this forum.

Since it appears most people who post are from North America, it's safe to assume then, that a lot of people should be at work right about now.

WHY ARE THERE DOUBLE THE PEOPLE VIEWING FORUM NOW!?

Get to work you bums!

Well part of it is a LOT of people work on computers and I'm assuming have some down time or get bored. I work at night so I really don't see the problem with me viewing the forums during the day or on my days off.

I’m @ work right now and I’d say about 97% of my posts have come during work hours. I’ve hit all of my expected goals (actually blew them out of the water) so I don’t feel bad about being on here while @ work.

I'm at work and it has been sooo slow that this site helps to pass the day. I also get to learn a lot about HT. If I was at home, I would have no time due to the fact I have a 4 year old and a 1 month old baby. I'm lucky if I get to go to the bathroom without being interrupted at home.. LOL! Before I know it, the kids are in bed and I'm exhausted and off to bed!

I hear ya, I've got 2 girls, 7 and 4. We get up, go to work, come home, eat dinner, do homework, give em a bath, getem ready for bed, read a book, tuck them in and then.......struggle to stay awake till 10, otherwise we feel old!

I sit right outside my GM's office, so I don't post much at work at all. Right now I'm on STD. Go back to work Wed, then you won't see me post much at all, until the weekend.

Personally, I think a lot of the posters on this forum who do it from work, do it becuase they have kids and no time to do it at home.

I get work sporadically through-out the day, and in between I post here. I am actually the "HT guy" now in my office!

It doesn't surprise me at all really. For every Blu-Benny, who meets his goals, I'm sure there are 20 others who fall behind in their work because of farting around online.

Every year before March Madness begins, the news always does a story about the effect it has on workplace productivity. Little do they know that the other 48 weeks a year, there are plenty of other things online to keep people just as distracted.

Me too!

Only problem with is, some people know so little, it's hard to find a place to start.

"What do you mean I can't watch HD channels, I just bought an HD TV?"

"Do you have an HD cable box"?

"A what?"

What's HD?
*RUNS AWAY*
Yeah most people with LCDs seem to think just because they have an HD TV everything is automatically HD, oh well.

This is somewhat off-topic, but I was at a Wal-Mart a few weeks ago, and there was a middle-aged woman buying an HDTV, and she was asking how to hook it up.

Wal-Mart guy: "It's real easy. Just plug in the power cord, and then take the red white and yellow plugs from your old TV, do you have those?"

Woman: "Yeah"

Wal-Mart guy: "Ok, just plug those right in, and that's all."

Woman: "So I'll get all the HD stuff?"

Wal-Mart guy: "Yup. It's really simple."

Weird... I'm trying to find a pattern, or reason why this guy could've said that.... I just can't put my finger on it.

Your pizza guy probably was a financial advisor prior to delivering pizzas.RimShot.gif

What annoyed me is that a) the guy seemed as though he really believed what he was saying, and was proud of himself for being so helpful, and b) the woman was in for some disappointment, unless she had really low expectations.

But of course, I couldn't be bothered to step in and correct the guy, because I didn't want to be the guy that tells her she needs to buy new wires, potentially needs a new cable box, etc., and I'm sure she would be convinced the Wal-Mart guy would know more than me, since he was the employee.

That would be handy, as I never now which is more cost effective, extra cheese or pepperoni as a topping?

Ok, for arguments sake, if normal cheese is worth 5 points, and you order extra cheese...do you think you get another 5 points of cheese?

I think we get hosed on the doubling of a pizza topping. Those jerks know it looks like more, but is it twice as much!?

Probably not. But I really like cheese!

Anyway, sorry for the hijack OP. On topic, I also personally e-mail quite a few members, along with the PM's. It's pretty cool to spend this much time here and get to know other members and their HT set-ups. I have made a lot of really good contacts thru this site for almost any question I have due to the fact that I get to spend so much time here during my work day.
