Now I no longer have to wait and hope Kino will release it. It's been available in HD digitally for the last couple of years.

Yes, it's a Universal movie. It will be released in France on February 23 by Elephant Films:

I think they may. If I recall correctly, I think Kino asked for Come September in one of their deals with Universal, but it wasn't available to them, as apparently Universal wanted to release it themselves, likely via their MOD program.
