Hah! Saw the work print, didn't like it. Not saying it was terrible, it just didn't live of to my expectations.

I don't think you can jusge a film untill you've seen it with its score, and for this kind of film the completed visual effects are a must. Without that all the flaw become all to apparent (imaging watching Indiana Jones 2 without the complete fx shots and the planet of the apes score). It wouldn't work to well now would it. That bieng said I don't think this film will impress me.

The issues with this film won't be fixed up with finished visual effects and sound/score. I'm getting a little tired of people suggesting it will.

People are mad about the sloppy story and illogical changes from the source material. Finishing the CG and adding a tailored score won't fix the story and it won't fix all the ridiculous shit that goes down in the climax.

Why is Cyclops in the film? Does he run into Wolverine? Why does he not remember meeting him from the first X-Men movie?
[Show spoiler]Because Scott had his eyes closed or something lol. No Cyclops visor yet. Also: Wolverine gets his memory erased by a magic bullet after all this goes down.

Also, it's not unthinkable that a person would forget having chance encountered upon someone if they come across them again 15 years later (i.e., this film takes place roughly 15 years before the first X-men movie does).

The thing that kinda irks me is that Professor X must have known what was going on at that facility on the island, so why did he not take steps to ensure he rescued everyone? No, he just grabbed Emma and Scott and the hodgepodge of other young 'nes and skedaddled.

[Show spoiler]Don't think they're doing a "X4", but she could well appear in a First Class film they have in development. Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, Beast, and Emma Frost. Who else could they throw in there to pad out the roster?

But yeah, dude I agree, really weird choice. Especially with the ads on TV suggesting she is a main character.

Coincidentally, Indy 4 with Apes from another planet would have been better than the rectal wart that we were given.

I got to see an advanced screening last Sunday out here in Denver...I would have to give it an 8/10 overall. First 3/4 is flat out amazing. Last 1/4 pretty dang terrible. Didn't care for the unnecessary (big) liberties they took with the source material at the end to make the movie work.

The score keeps dropping as more reviews come in. Down to 44%. Since those initial 5 positive reviews 10 of the last 13 reviews have been negative. Regardless of reviews I'll still probably see it this weekend.
