Anyway, what'll be of TV considering all these streaming services?
This part of the industry is certainly getting more crowded, and all the major legacy brands have not even joined.

But really though, Sony doesn't have a serious option yet, let alone Lionsgate. And I haven't heard that either is that interested at this point either.

Sony did have Crackle and im pretty sure Lionsgate was a big investor in Epix.

Sony did use to be more invested in Crackle, but they divested a few years ago and haven't seemed to make any public moves to get into streaming more seriously.

Lionsgate has Starz, which they could build a bigger streaming service around, though they too haven't indicated much interest in doing so.

I wouldn't be surprised if MGM (and Epix along with it) and/or AMC get scooped up by someone before long in order to build out a streaming library.

Sony just recently announced their own streaming service exclusively for Bravia XR TV's.

Yep I had seen that some days ago, although at this point it seems like a showcase more for their flagship Bravia products than a small intro of a serious streaming service. They could easily use the basic app and expand it though. We'll see!

You'd have to think that Sony doesn't want to get "too far involved" regarding streaming, given the difficulties with PS Vue that closed up a yr ago. This is a way to keep their foot in the door so to speak. And like you said, expand upon it if it catches on. Maybe even perhaps include "Sony Movie Channel" if that's even still on (had it on DTV when I dropped it in '16). But you have to think Sony is looking at what Warner, Disney, Universal and Paramount are doing and ask "why not us?"
