I guess you have to decide if it's worth saving £80 and having them all called "Juego de Tronos" or not. Even if I didn't already have the UK set, it would be a tough compromise for me.

That is a GOOD price on the Spanish box, but I think I'm going to hang on for a better price on the UK set.

If I end up buying it at all - the more time passes, the more I think to myself "would I ever actually re-watch all 8 seasons?"

I took a leap of faith and ordered the set from Amazon for $156. I think it is a good deal. I just hope all the disks work fine without any glitches.

Those that already have season 1 and 8 on 4K BD might do the same for the individual season releases. If so, it can be cheaper than buying the box.

But I think HBO wants the consumers to double dip as much as possible:
1. Buy 8 season Blu-ray box.
2. Buy 1 & 8 season 4K BD.
3. Buy 8 season 4K BD box.
4. Buy 2-7 season individual 4K BDs, if you got 2) and dodged the the bullet with 3), and are willing to wait for a price drop.

So I'm not really sure who the 1-8 season individual 4K BDs are for. Maybe only those that end up at 4) ?

They are for me I guess. I'll probably buy seasons 2-4 on uhd when/if they drop in price. I already have season 1 and will probably never watch seasons 5-8 again. I won't buy them for 499SEK per season though.

Hi, everyone. To those who bought the US version: this version is described here on the website as having both Region A and B playback, and subtitles in many languages available, while only English, French and Spanish appear on the package. Can anyone confirm about it being compatible with A and B, as well as if it has Norwegian subtitles?

Assuming it's the 4K BD you're talking about, 4K BD is always region free.

Regarding subtitles, I dunno, but would to know as well.

Yeah, but I assume when Blu-ray.com mentions that it's compatible with region A and B, that it refers to the Blu-ray discs included since it is given that 4K discs play on any 4K player. Otherwise, all the 4K editions would be compatible with regions A, B and C, this one included, instead of just A and B as is stated

Yes, the included BD discs will be region bound as normal for BDs.

But why buy the 4K BD if you only want the BDs. If you don't have a 4K BD player yet, it's long overdue to get one.

The US 4K edition only includes 3 BDs for special features, i.e. there's no BD version of the episodes in the 4K set.

Yeah, but I'd assume they already have a 4K player, and aren't buying the set just for the special feature discs.

4K BD GOT Box price:
US: ~$150
Nordic: ~$337

Since the US release contains all the native subtitles and is less than half the price, it looks like a candidate for import. Even if added 25% VAT + import fees are taken into account.
