AGFA is noted for trying to do preservation, so a longer print turning up would likely make their version less wanted. It also might depend if AGFA thinks doing a release of a longer print right away might upset some buyers. It's possible another label may end up releasing it.

It's funny how Wal-Mart who is supposed to want to preserve family values to the point of getting censored or alternate CDs for their stores would sell it.

I know that AGFA has sometimes said they weren't going to be reassuring some titles once the run ends, but if sales are good, one never knows. Their contracts are somewhat unusual for the industry (I'm not going to say more as it may be something they don't particularly want known).

I remember reading awhile back (when things were normal) that AFGA was hosting the premier of a new transfer of Glen or Glenda at some theaters in LA, I was really hoping we would have the definitive blu ray release of that film like The Violent Years. That blu is a thing of beauty and I would love to see the rest of Ed Wood's early films get the same treatment. Maybe Film Detective has this one too?

Film detective had announced it, along with the rest of his films. That was like a year ago though.

AGFA only released it as a Blu-ray. I am sure MovieMars would be shipping authentic Blus.

In answer to a post about BP going OOP, here is what Lisa Petrucci said in the comments to said post:

So here's what's up (from the horse's mouth). The BAT ***** Blu-ray has sadly gone Out of Print. The first pressing is now sold out and AGFA has moved on to work with a different distributor, so it won't be re-pressed. I bought up the last remaining inventory from the distributor yesterday, so the BP Blu-ray will be back in stock on the SWV website once I receive more inventory in a week or two. (Yesterday ALL my existing BP inventory got bought up! I hadn't seen the Instagram post from AGFA yet and was wondering why the hell everyone was buying so many BP Blu's ��) But don't fret. There are plans to re-release BP again. Stay tuned! (And in the meantime the crummy original DVD-R version from the 1990s Dragon Art Theatre Double Feature VHS release is still available from SWV...)
