The box (not the artwork) is completely flawed. Not sure why they continue to put out that design that is so off, perspective wise.

Can't wait to buy Fargo on day one though.

As much as I love the Coens I could never get into that one.
That's simply the French release, which was released last November:

Anything with Billy-Bob-Thorton doing narration is purchase worthy to me!

I thought it was a good character study..... but, to each their own!

It does look promising. I was really hoping they wouldn't mess this one up. Possibly top 10 of all time for me.

I wonder what the additional 14 seconds are

The Blu-ray version looks to be a considerable upgrade over the DVD version...will be buying.

I was looking at the review here and it seems that in the picture with the parking lot, the Oldmobile is missing in the Blu-ray screenshot when compared to the previous DVD releases. I wonder why they edited it out. Strange.

It looks like a different frame capture...the Oldsmobile is driving into the shot (hence the tracks in the snow), so the BD capture is probably earlier than the DVDs.

True. I did not pay attention to the tracks. Good looking out.

Good flick but where's The Big Lebowski,Raising Arizona, and O Brother Where Art Thou? The Coen's are awesome directors, one one stinker in the bunch,The Ladykillers, the British original is an all time classic though! I beleive the Coen's got their start working for Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead if remember right. As long as they dont try to make a sequel to No Country!

Ladykillers and Intolerable cruelty are definitely the low points. Although, for a romantic-comedy in the vein of all those old fast talking 50's type movies, it's not bad, just not my cup of tea. Hudsucker Proxy is close to the bottom too IMO, along with Blood Simple, but i haven't seen that in 10 years so who knows. The rest of their canon is golden.

The Cortroom scenes were mindblowingly funny.

It's great the grain is intact, but (and it can be just the caps) I'm seeing a lot of edge enhancement in the caps. Look at the fourth screenshot (the one with the parking lot covered in snow) of the DVDBeaver review. I hope it's just the way they were took, or something. Fargo has a lot of snow covered landscapes and bright skies, and those would look awful if there's edge enhancement all over them again, like on the previous dvds.
And I would also ask for more Coen films on dvd. Yes, The Ladykillers and Intolerable Cruelty were the weaker outings in their filmography, but I didn't think they were bad. I loved The Hudsucker Proxy, it's hilarious and over the top.
