I did find GOW to be long enough though. And then the online was really good. And I guess I am also not as picky - I found Oblivion to be great - yeah there are a few issues, but I still thought it looked great graphically. And for me, game play is definetely more important. One of my favorites is bomberman live and the graphics on that are nothing special. Regarding Crackdown - I don't recall how long it took, but it has lots of replayability. And the coop is great. Graphics are also great - I think the look is exactly what they were going for. And I think the linup for 360 exclusives is pretty good in comparison. Both have a nice fall lineup. 360 has Mass Effect, Halo3 and PGR4 to name a few. I think the titles I am most looking forward to are Mass Effect, Halo3 and Lair. |

Either way though - MS didn't have any choice but to go with DVD. They couldn't have waited a year to launch and it also would have jacked the price up another couple hundred. |

I think what needs to be pointed out is there is a difference between a long game and a game you can play for a long time. A long game is one where the main story mode is very long, with many different environments etc.
A game can have a very short (or in warhawks case, non-existant) story mode, but have very high replayability and/or strong online play. Virtually all shooters and racing games tend to fall into this category. Thus you can get many many hours of enjoyment, and the game itself can be quite small (as evident by warhawks tiny size) Id imagine we'll soon start seeing many 360 games be multi-disk, either that or it will continue to be a system almost entirely about shooters |

I think one thing that adds to replay on the 360 is the achievements. To be honest, I used to never replay a game on a different difficulty level. For some reason, having it pop up and saying I completed a game on veteran or such made it more appealing.
Isn't the PS3 getting these too? Is that coming when Home comes out? |

Yes, Oblivion looks better on the PS3 they had a whole year to fix problems,, but Xbox 360 has all the downloadable content (I think 9 in total), Shivering Isle is great.
Bioshock looks great, haven’t bought it yet, but almost all comments say it’s the best game for Xbox 360 this year. I bought Two Worlds instead. I really enjoy this game, although I will have to say it has some frame rate issue, but there’s an update coming to fix that. Halo 3 is going to be a big hit on the Xbox 360. No one can argue this. It’s already broke a few records. (Fastest selling preorder of all time) There predicting some where around $150 million in sells in the first day alone. For Mass Effect, I don’t trust a review from someone just looking at a game. Watching someone play a game and playing a game are totally two different things. Then again I don’t really trust reviews, just like I don’t trust credits reviews for movies. Some may not like what’s coming out on Xbox 360 and that’s fine, Some may not like what’s coming out on PS3 and that’s ok too. It’s your opinion. In my opinion I have to go with Xbox 360 for games I’m looking forward to buying this winter. PS3 has some good games but nothing I have to run out and buy. Warhawk (I’m a big fan of the First on PS1) was going to be on of my must have games until they through out the single player game out and went with Online combat only. Folklore is another one I’m still debating on, I’m a big fan of RPG. Can’t wait for FFXIII. So like I said everyone’s going to have a different opinion. I do agree that putting a DVD drive in the Xbox 360 was a mistake. They should have had a HD-DVD or Blu-ray drive put in. (I would have prefer Blu-ray ![]() |

Nothing wrong with the Xbox 360? Tell that to my friends who've had theirs stop working and had to be without it while Microsoft took 3 months to replace it. Mine displayed the red ring of death last night. I got it to work after turning it on and off a few times, but my friend said that this is how his started to malfunction before breaking entirely.
Microsoft changed their warranty to three years do you think they would've done this if the machines didn't have an inherent design flaw? |

It's weird for me. I dont ever like 360's popular titles, but I do like the small stuff. Not a Halo fan, Gears of War I found to be boring and repetitive, and I have no interest in Mass Effect, from what I've seen so far.
I do however LOVE Crackdown, and REALLY looking forward to the Naruto game, and loved the Lost Planet single player. (Although I think Lost Planet was pretty popular.) Still, I've traded in most every game I've tried so far, (which I do for most any system), but there is one I havent given up yet: Dead Rising. I can play that game forever! |
