I can't say anything regarding the prepaid plans as I'm a loyal Verizon customer. They're the only carrier that works in my area.
They are really durable. I've dropped the phone onto concrete numerous times. The main issue, probably, for me is the really short battery life. It seems like it's always low or I'm having to walk around with a portable charger. The Google phones supposedly have great battery duration.

Mine is freezing from time to time lately and it has issues playing some of the songs on my playlist. Hopefully those issues will go away after I get the Fold 3.

I think my best option after looking at everything is to get the S21+ 5G. Sure I lose .1" and the S Pen but I can live without those things. $16 monthly payments + $25 a month Kickstart (if possible) would mean I'm getting a brand new 5G phone that's almost the exact same size as the phone I have now and paying just $1 more a month. Works for me and is a lot more reasonable than getting a Flip 3(what's the point of a phone that flips lol) or the severely overpriced Fold 3.
