agreed, if i was a ref that would be a penalty call for me also. one thing is for almost the same play (denial of goal scoring oppurtunity) gomes got a yellow and fletcher got the strictest, a red. sucks but i suppose footy fans will call it karma.

i did mention that is very unfortunate that the red cant be rescinded but garlad said the same thing too. amazing how red cards get rescinded all the time in league play where it doesn't matter much cause there is always the week after next and plenty of games to play. but in tournament play there is no week after next. rule change coming soon imo.

Big match tonight. i sort of knew united would win last night but im really worrying for Chelsea lol. Chelsea will want to attack at home and thats what barcelona wants them to do... Real madrid attacked them at home and look what way they were demolished and the style it happened in. Chelsea could try and defend like the first leg and hope for a counter but i dont think they could keep barca out for a second leg in a row with those tactics. Would be nice to see chelsea in the final and to eventually win it but i think barca will get that away goal .

Score predictions tonight?

mine is 1-1

2-0 Chelsea

I think Chelsea are gona play some of the best football we've seen them play this season. This game is massive and they know it. They are a different team under Guus, and they are not afraid. They know how good they are and I think they will show it tonight. Lamps and Drogba will get the goals. Tonight will show why the Premier League is so much better than La Liga

"Blue is the colour, football is the game! We're in this together and winning is our aim!!"

Come on you Chelsea!!

And check out their new jersey! nice!

After watching Barca rip through Real, I can't see anything other than a Barca win.

its hard to see how barcelona won't score. forget their past results and them being scoreless in the past few semi's or the scoring 6 recently, forget their poor CL away record, all that crap. just look at it as a 1 game for all the marbles in the world type of scenario. they will go ALLLL OUT to get an away goal.

what if chelsea played anti football again and take it to PKs lol. hope they drank a ton of energy drinks.

my guess would be 1-1. im sad to say i cant leave early to watch the match today so i will have to try to stay away from the internet to see results til i get home and watch it on dvr.

barca have been favorites to reach the finals throughout the tournament. lesser so since the 1st leg but we'll see. imo fans will want to see barca vs united more. the mouth watering rivalry between ronaldo and messi is MORE intriguing better headlines than a rematch between two english clubs although hiddink taking a team to the CL finals is a huge headline itself. messi is a godlike talent but for my money ronaldo is a better player. headers, freekicks, scores with both feet, messi cannot score the same goals that ronaldo does case in point the freekick yesterday.

if united were to play barca and win, ronaldo will repeat as world player of the year.

Barca have been scoring MACHINES this season. It's why the last match was such a great one for Chelsea. The chess match today will be quite interesting, so that will be good to see.

To be honest, I'm still gutted by the performance of my boys yesterday. How long until that feeling goes away, next year maybe? Off-Season transfers?

Chelsea, @ Man U and Stoke to finish of the year. Chelsea is @ Emirates, Blackburn and @ Sunderland. Barring a complete collapse by Chelsea coupled with some fantastic games, we can kiss 3rd spot goodbye and hello to CL qualifying.

dude i feel bad for you. my arsenal buddies feel the same and i talked to them about wengers stupidity. he could of gotten his guy (arshavin) at the beginning of the season instead of january and he could be playing in the CL for them. he could of done better with the whole flamini thing, a BIG miss for them cause denilson/song/diaby are garbage. he let go of lassana diarra who is 10 times better than denilson/song/diaby. despite his bad turnover against barcelona that lead to a goal, diarra is a still very good player who i like to watch and he's starting for the world famous real madrid. can you imagine the diarra of today's standards playing with cesc in midfield. that would be money.

his idiotic youth policy and the 'young gunners' crap doesn't work. his best player is one of the oldest (arshavin) yet he still wants to count on young players that he bought for cheap (gibbs) and look how that turned out. and for my money aaron lennon is better than theo walcott. walcott made a disappearing act against evra when lennon torched evra. how can this be when they are exactly the same player (size, speed, everything). sorry arsenal fans but you will suffer until you get some +30 year olds with experience and aren't injury prone. kieran gibbs starting in a CL semi's, what a f*cking joke. you don't see rafael starting for united did you, oshea did.

nevermind, I'm not as down as this guy

bringing up young players is vital to what Arsene does. What I don't like at the moment is selling them of for cash when they get older (and I'm talking 25, not 35). A good blend of older guys with the young talent would go a long way to training the young guys and still have the killer instinct and craftiness of older players.

I still maintain that the loss of Gallas to injury was too much to overcome and really shows against the good teams. Hopefully he'll calm down some and we won't lose him for good

Whoever goes through, I'm sure it will be a great final.

My prediction is 2-2. I'm relishing the idea of Ronaldo vs. Messi final.

BTW, Slec I got your PM.

Surely the home team, who has gone through against them at home before should be fav's?

No Henry Toure playing as a CB.

Interesting.

Chelsea: Cech, Bosingwa, Cole, Alex, Terry, Essien, Ballack, Lampard, Malouda, Anelka, Drogba.
Barcelona: Valdes, Alves, Abidal, Pique, Toure, Busquets, Keita, Xavi, Iniesta, Eto'o, Messi.

Anelka and Drogba starting? Sounds like a different tact from the outset for Chelsea

Good to see Daniel Alves kidding around with his Chelsea mascot during the CL Anthem. Nice touch.
