I would read a review first. I don't require a slipcover or a steelbook. There are movies that I will rebuy on every new format if it's done better.

Splitting $8 with 5 people means it's cheap enough to just have it to find out what's interesting and what's not.

I would buy these shows on disc if they released them even if I have the active service so they are leaving money on the table and losing it to the counterfeits.

I pay for Amazon Prime and Disney+ for now but I have friends access to Hulu (with live TV), Netflix and HBO Max so it's not a big deal to pay full MSRP for D+ currently. I still collect movies which is my way to go.

I hate Netflix but I realize having it for free isn't bad ... I actually kind of like that. Got through 3 episodes of Cobra Kai and I'm interested in Queens Gambit.

One thing is for sure, it devalues the content significantly so hopefully content creators realize this. I watched Godzilla Vs Kong for free on release day which was great. Back in the days of Cable and PPV there was usually a window so that new stuff wasn't on there unless it was not market-able or if it was a sporting event/concert.

Netflix are stepping up their efforts to block sharing I read. think others will follow suit.

I should try to finish Cobra Kai and Queens Gambit before they notice then. (LMK if they have anything else worth watching)

Di$ney Plus seems to have "profiles" and I share my subscription with all three of my kids and I could probably share it with SteelDeel too as maybe it's designed for 5 users. I don't know why they would let you have 5 profiles if not allowing a limited amount of sharing. One of my kids doesn't live at home but she is a legitimate person to share my accounts with.

Netfux is so stupid. They charge you for a number of screens so you are paying for more than a single user access.. They greed they exhibit will bite them back eventually.

I'm fairly sure I will never had cocky Hastings any of my money but then again other people use my theater and if I have access I'll check stuff out that's not otherwise available if only to see if I do like it.

Happy Easter Peeps.

I think aside from great feast and easter egg hunts, one of the best ways to celebrate Easter is with Zombie flics.

I started my celebration with this one... Rolling Stones live at Hampton

Does anyone here use Vudu? I really like the concept of having all my films in the cloud. However, now that they have been sold to Fandango, what is the longevity of this platform? The thing that has kept me there and not with iTunes is the HDR support. My TV supports HDR10, but not Dolby Vision and it seems like iTunes doesn't support HDR10 on their stuff while Vudu supports both from what I am reading. I find Vudu especially useful because when I was sick for the past couple of days, I could lay in bed all day and stream to my Roku. If I don't have a high-end home theater system, is Vudu "good enough"? Your opinions would be appreciated, thanks!

Hey,... it is on Amazon and stuff...

I imagine when Di$ney gets tired of the fake versions stealing what could be more Di$ney Bucks they will release it.

Yes there are "illegal" ways to get the content from Disney+ on a computer. I am betting that is what this seller has done.

iTunes content supports HDR10 AFAIK. Maybe it converts.

The ATV+ app runs on all kinds of stuff and I believe it supports HDR10

No one knows the future of Vudu, Fandango or iTunes. It's best to use these platforms to complement rather than replace your own collection of content.

MoviesAnywhere will tie (some of) your Vudu content to iTunes and you can compare them with the free ATV app on Roku ... what a world.

I find it all risky but Movies Anywhere at least spreads the risk around a bit so if one of the providers goes poof you may still have some content.

What are you trying to imply by putting quotation marks around illegal?

I saw it as a style choice like when a novel throws a few French words in just to dress up and highlight a portion of a sentence.

Are we talking original house of wax ? ,.... I looked back through the thread but couldn't find the post you quoted.

Just want to say it's available frame packed and that's ALWAYS better IMO than anaglyph

Well,.... Almost always... I did convert my frame packed version of Jaws 3 to anaglyph because I was hosting a "dive in" movie in my pool a few years ago and bought a box full of paper glasses so that water damage was no longer a concern. At the time there was a PC software I purchased that could do this. Cyberlink PowerDVD type software can do this too I think. I did buy a set of plastic anaglyph glasses at one point like the one in the link... that didn't seem to help much over the paper but they were not expensive.

Wendell has a 4K Sony Front Projector (I think) and those are AMAZING with 3DBD! Stunning. My Sony 4K FP does 3D better than anything I've seen before I had it and I haven't seen 3D anywhere since.

I love 3D personally. Silent Madness VR is excellent.

No, just a single disc.

Do you have Drive Angry in 3-D? I still duck when that tire tool comes my way! Do this for several other items during the movie.

Few more months and I should be kissing goodbye to Netflix. Happy with MA/iTunes, discs and Prime on the odd occasion.

Tried Vudu but sadly not my cuppa tea. Quality lacks behind MA/iTunes. FangangoNow was bad as well based on my 1 week trial.

Stick to MA/iTunes. Chances of Disney/Apple going bust is 1 in a billion. Also, I would never worry about the digital doom mongers spreading fud about content disappearing. This has happened only during 4K upgrades or other misc upgrades. If you want, I will link you to someone at AVForum who has 2000+ films in his iTunes bought over several years and none of them have disappeared. My iTunes collection is close to 1,200 out of which 520 are sitting on MA.

But Walmart isn't going anywhere.
(This is what people used to say about Vudu, until Walmart dropped it like a bad habit)

Wendell, I have Drive Angry 3D ... Still adore Amber Heard.

1163 movies in my iTunes movies and a few complete TV series (LOST, Office, Weeds, Game of Thrones, True Blood)
800 even in MA. I would like none of it to dis-appear. I share it with my family which is what I like best about it.
