Ok i've got to agree with allstar here, you just posted a link to support your theory, but the guy that did that post said first thing that the blacks were crushed more on the G10 than they were on last years 800u, now i havn't done a side by side either but both cnet and hdguru said that black's and shadow detail were better on the G10 than on any of panny's last year model's including the 800u, i'm not trying to say you guy's bought a crapy set(you and sandman) the S1 seem's to be an incredible set, i've read the reviews and seen in store , but havn't really got to mess with one myself, but you are making comments and assumption's that have no real credibility, meaning you don't own the G10, i know there's a lot of back and forth on the avs forum's, which is why i usually try to go to pro sites like hdguru, cnet, hometheatermag and other's to get reviews they try to be as unbiased as possible, so it's a bit irresponsible of you to make claim's that you have no personal knowledge of, oh and viewing in the store doesn't count everyone know's this........THX really is a great mode, i use for everything, including daytime watching, but all this nonsense aside i think sandman made a great choice i don't think your going to be dissapointed, the s1 is a great set according to reviews, and i did like what i saw in store but that really isn't a way to judge a set.........Oh and your default should be 1080p, you shouldn't have to set this on the tv, it will automatically adjust to the incoming signal, CONGRATS ON THE NEW SET SANMAN.....
