Ya, I really do remember some comments that the director didn't want the full version out there, so he "created" that fake never-before-seen "Forced Entry" abomination edited version on the last Blu. NO ONE wanted or asked for that terrible newly created cut!!!! At least "The Last Victim" was supposedly the original cut, and I do believe that.

Now soon afterwards, they want to put out the REAL "Forced Entry" version, and the director is supposedly now cool with that, I don't even mind buying it again, IF it's uncut. But it's already announced as being 2 minutes shorter. Geesh, this is like "The House That Vanished". Promote it as "the best version we could find in HD so you should be happy", too bad your cut print was missing 15 minutes!!! Either find a complete master, do a composite with lesser inserts, or skip the release completely.

I may pick this one up. I had little interest in the last release and then as the drama unfolded had even less interest. This announcement however has me intrigued. Price and what else is released around the time this one is available will determine whether I snag this one or not.

Someone on Facebook commented that the VHS release that has those 2 extra minutes is also missing stuff from the theatrical release - so technically no home video release of this movie has been “complete.” Best case scenario would be to have those 2 minutes as an extra rather than shoehorning VHS quality inserts into the main feature, which won’t look good.

If seamless branching is used, you can select which version to watch without having 2 separate versions on the disk (ie one with the tape inserts). That would mean more work authoring it though.

OK, I just went over and read that. The person saying so isn't commenting on the actual 2 minutes missing. He's saying that the "uncut" FE was missing some shots that were in The Last Victim, at least what I can make from the comment, as it's very, very vague. In any event, that person has no knowledge of what the 2 minutes are missing here, from what DF calls the "negative', which is an ODD source, when FE was a later re-edit to begin with. The negative? It's probably just another print he found, not the negative. And no one has ever said that FE included EVERY shot that was in The Last Victim. Re-edits frequently edit out certain moments from an earlier cut. What would be best, is the uncut version of FE, even if footage from TLV was always not there as it was intentionally cut beforehand. This isn't about having EVERY minute of footage from every version all in one print. What are these 2 minutes missing is the question. I see another firestorm once this comes out and people compare it to the Harmony Vision. Buy it quick, it will disappear just as fast as Magdalena!

Regardless, it looks like DF will go ahead as they see fit from their responses, no inserts, just release what they have. Once again, claiming whatever source they have is the best and most complete available, and ignoring everything else. I suppose a cut version of FE at 86 minutes is better than what we have now, which is pretty much nothing outside of an old uncut VHS. So be it. All Hail the Demon!!!!

I seem to recall some pretty bad looking scenes (possibly sourced from video) in the already released blu-ray of "The Last Victim", so I’m not sure why those missing minutes couldn’t be integrated, or at least have the Home video version as an bonus feature or something.

Hang on there a minute Sector Drone. That first disc we put out was only the #8 single release from Dark Force and it was originally supposed to be released by Code Red. But due to Banana Man's bad health issues that hit at the time he was unable to complete the release and handed it over to us. We were under the impression we had the original R rated version, Forced Entry and the PG rated The Last Victim which was supposed to be from the original negative. Later on we found out that the director Jim Sotos decided he wanted to create two new director's cuts for the blu-ray release. On top of the fact there were several cuts of the movie already. Bottom line what we located now is an original 35mm negative (not print) of the US theatrical release which was rated R of Forced Entry which does contain approximately 10 minutes more nudity and rape than our previous shorten versions. As far as inserting the VHS scenes, an attempt of that was done on one of the cuts we put out previously and it looked like crap. We have come a long way since the #8 single's release of THE LAST VICTIM and this release of FORCED ENTRY is yet another version but we feel has merit for another release.

Help me out here, I'm just going off this...

Sotos' film ended up being heavily censored, re-edited, re-scored and a male voice over was added to tone down its potent combination of sleaze and brutality. The heavily edited re-cut was released to US grindhouses as Forced Entry and ended up being a total mess thanks to the careless re-cutting of its distributor.

The original uncensored director's cut, titled The Last Victim, never found its way to American screens. Thankfully, it did emerge in its original uncut form in the UK in the pre-certification era on the Intervision label. This is one hell of a grimy film and this version packs a much stronger punch than the R-rated Forced Entry edit.

I know you're saying this has 10 more minutes of sleaze that were cut from previous releases. Is this the version with the voice over? The whole thing is very confusing.

I knew that's what this movie needed.... MORE RAPE. Definitely wasn't rapey enough. I was disappointed by the lack of rape. I'm glad more rape is being restored. I missed all the rape and it just wasn't entertaining without all the rape. Now that the rape was restored, I give it a 10/10. If your movie doesn't have rape, it's automatically a 0/10. If your movie doesn't contain rape, it isn't really a movie is it?

At this point, why not just release the original Forced Entry? Granted, who knows how the elements are after so long, if they even exist at all.

They're lost or destroyed. Only one 16mm theatrical print is known to exist, which After Hours Cinema bought on eBay and released on a pretty good DVD. The pressed DVD appears to be out of print, so if you buy it from the website now, it's an on-demand title.

I just saw Forced Entry on my shelf and was wondering what the hell was up with the cuts on that release, and it's the latest convo here! Glad to know I can in the future see a more complete version of this, that last release was a mess. I'm kinda split on missing footage inserts, if it's something censored that was meant to be in this cut I would say add the inserts, but if it's just extraneous regular footage in a different cut of the movie I don't want to see it added back in. But with this title who really knows at this point?
