The last few weeks, the endcaps were stocked and ready with the new releases. This morning, however, the Raya 4K exclusives were missing.

The gentleman was stocking *books* (of all things), but when I asked about Raya, he immediately went back to find it for me. Brought out all *four* copies the store got, and let me pick one.

These are the types of interactions that make me return to Target for new releases, and more. Maybe it's just me and/or my store, but I've definitely developed that relationship where they know I'm a repeat customer, and I appreciate their service.

I will say I found a box 2 weeks ago with Raya, but couldn’t find the exclusive in the box. Didn’t know we were carrying one until I found the ad. Usually new release boxes just stay in the back, so maybe the exclusive came in separately and they didn’t realize that box went out.

Also, books sell way better than movies unfortunately. Our mobile devices tell us what items are selling through and what from the back room can be pulled to fill up the shelves. We have a shit load of movies in the back, yet every night I’ll be pulling 10+ books and maybe one or two movies.

Has anyone found the Minari blu-ray in store? All I can find on the website is the dvd.

Wow and I thought the printed book business was dying!

Maybe that explains why Costco still carries books but no movies unless it's a HUGE popcorn blockbuster like Star Wars.

I've seen CDs at my store just two rows above vinyl.

Just a few years ago they had the 2CD Imagine reissue by John Lennon, this time the new 2 CD Lennon Plastic Ono Band reissue is only online. I also saw the 2 CD best of American Experience by Tom Petty but I never see any reissues anymore by classic artists.

McCartney III they carried but that's a new release..

That is unfortunate, but not surprising. Target has become the next-generational step for people who used to collect movie/music, and now don't give an F.

I'll (mostly) be at Target every Tuesday morning just to see what they aren't displaying in-store.

They only have the DVD in-store; no digital HD included.

Also a lot from ebay: Santana Original Album series, just bought a slightly damaged target exclusive of Soul 4K incl digital everything intact except for bends and dings [$15] Iron Butterfly Metamorphisis, Sound Of Music 30th Laserdisc box set [for the 24K gold CD] Miles Davis Kind Of Blue CD with original speed problem, Art Of War, Toy Story 2 2010 release for the censored end credit, Al Jardine and Family Live, Elvis Costello Rhino 2 CD Imperial Bedroom, Rocky and Bullwinkle DVD live action

Bought Be Bop Deluxe 2 CD reissues and Doors Soft Parade super deluxe from Import CD

So I've been buying just not from Best Buy. I did buy a few movies and CDs from Target but Amazon and ebay is getting the bulk of my business and my favorite used CD store.

It's all about online now. It's a love hate relationship with Amazon but they generally have what I want and at a decent price and fast delivery.

Everything from Target, import CD and ebay can take up to a week to be delivered!

I'd say about 20% of Amazon takes a week to arrive most in one to two days.

Sounds like Best Buy in most places. All my local BB's have turned as called out in to show room stores.

I went to pick up Lower Decks on steelbook and regular BD and they had 2 copies of each.

I went with Amazon for that. Thankfully, the slip arrived OK too.

I have a love/hate relationship with Target these days. They get most major releases, the Circle & B2G1 deals are good, and I love the Disney exclusives like for Raya, but they still have those random/popular/new releases where they one carry the DVD. Argh!

Vinyl does not sell well, at least at my store.

Books don’t sell in HUGE quantities, but we get a lot of older folks who come in to buy books. My guess is they don’t know how to order online and we are easier to find than a bookstore. As those generations disappear/learn technology, I’d imagine book sales will decrease.

My main Target has a small selection of CDs and vinyl too. I enjoyed browsing their book section during their Buy One, Get One 50% Off sale although I ended up only getting two in store and ordering 4 online.

I will say that these days the best CD selection seems to be at Barnes & Noble. Have picked up a few in the last few weeks.

Just doing a quick search for Minari Blu Ray on Target's site and it says it's not carried in store so as Jason Bourne hater strumdogg Millionaire says, they only have the DVD in stores

While it's the same price at Best Buy and Amazon, I am surprised that Minari is only $15.99.

Hoping they have another B2G1F sale soon. I'm sure it will happen the moment after I hit submit on various orders

Having a slight issue with a large Target order. Ordered a ton of scream factory titles last B2G1 sale happened. Almost all have shipped and have arrived. The exception is Eyes of a Stranger, which they printed a shipping label for on 5/14 and had an expected arrival date of yesterday. It has been sitting in a "label printed" status since then w/ no movement or indication that it ever reached UPS. Not sure why all of the stuff that streeted this week did not ship together (He knows you're alone arrived on tuesday and Wildcats is supposed to be here tomorrow). Today the delivery date switched to next monday the 24 but still no movement.
When I try the fix an issue button, it only gives me the option to get refund and says replacement is not available. I worry that this small package slipped through the cracks and is on the floor at a warehouse someplace. And there seems to be no way to just inquire. Anyone had anything like this happen?

I'm guessing it's because they typically use the UPS Mail Innovations service, where UPS hands the package off to USPS for final delivery. I'd wait a bit longer, and see if the status will ultimately update once USPS gets it in their system.

If you look up the tracking on the UPS website, it should also list the USPS tracking number in the details under "Postal Service Tracking ID."

Hi eric, I think someone with more knowledge than I have will reply but in the meantime, I'd just give Target a call if you haven't done so already. I've never seen a situation quite like yours. I've never noticed a "label printed" status before. Does it provide you with a UPS tracking number?

Wondering whether Target will have another B2G1F sale soon. I know they've had a few recently and I'm hoping they continue the trend. Tempted to pull the trigger on a few titles but wouldn't want to buy them now and then have that promo a week later

Yep, it has said the USPS has been awaiting the package since the 14th. I figure I will give it until Monday the 24th before trying to talk to someone about it

I’m having the exact same situation with my 4k copy of The Sting from the last b2g1 sale. Target is good though. If you don’t get it at least they will instantly refund you as I’ve experienced in the past.
