Oh man am I glad that this is happening. Deadpool is one of my favorite comic book characters (as you can see with my icon).

I have faith that Ryan Reynolds will only do it if it is true to the character so I have almost no worries.

Right, like how he only played Wade Wilson during the part BEFORE they bastardized him into Weapon XI.

So if it happens that the film follows the events of the Wolverine picture and he is still Weapon XI, does this mean Ryan Reynolds won't play the title character?

I would hope they fix it somehow. I recall Stryker saying Initiate Weapon XI and the female scientist saying the bondings not compete. Maybe that will be their out?

Well after seeing what they did with the wolverine story. It will probally be pre the wolverine story. And he will have run ins with Storm, Nightcrawler, Blob, Magneto, Mister Sinister, and Apocolypse will be the Villian. And even though its a prequal he will have the powers given to him in Wolverine and he will gain all the powers of these mutants also.

That's the only way they could do this and make it work, though if it's before Wolve than Blob wouldn't yet be Blob.

I like the idea of a Deadpool spin-off considering Reynolds was fantastic in his brief screen-time in Wolverine.

My one issue is how they would combine it into X-men Origins.

[Show spoiler] Considering he is Weapon XI and has all the stuff done to him, I saw the ending credit scene where he movies him body to grab his head so obviously he alive & is now disfigured so it works. I just sincerly hope that he only has the ability to heal, not eye lasers, telporting or any of the other powers they ruined him with

Juts my opinion but definitely excited to see this as long as the writers are able to handle what they did in Origins and explain it properly.

It was a jab at how fox squeezes about every mutant they can into a movie and will probably do whatever they want regardless of what has happened in Wolverine Origins.

because in the comics, his body eventually rejects the healing powers and it leaves his face scarred. Another words he only has the healing powers for a short time.

I wasnt trying to belittle you sorry if it came off that way. I just thought it was funny you saw the blob part but didnt see i said he will probally still have every power they gave him in wolverine. As he also wouldnt have those powers either if the blob wouldnt be the blob yet. Because it hadnt happened yet.

But the point of the whole post was that fox will ruin the actual deadpool story line as they did the wolverine by putting mutants in it who dont belong and giving mutants powers they never had. AKa blob, cyclops, emma frost, gambit, and many many others arent actually apart of the actual wolverine story. And deadpool never had cyclops eyes, an adamantium skeleton, or barack swords from mortal kombat coming out of his hands and his mouth was not sewn shut. Also when his face gets scarred he gets his mask and that didnt happen either.

Deadpool actually has the ability to teleport, so there is nothing wrong with that. But the eyes and adamantium skeleton are dumb as hell.

No, I saw everything it just didn't come across as any kind of a joke because that is more than highly likely exactly what they will do, along with the dozen other mutants. I guess I missed that it was supposed to be a joke, it just sounded like every X-Men movie so far.

Just curious, I didn't think adamantium could cut through adamantium. So I didn't see how Deadpool could cut Wolverine's head off.

Not nitpicking, I loved the movie, just curious is all. I'm pretty sure Wolverine was able to cut Deadpool's head off because his claws were friggin' hot from the optic blasts.

IMO, besides Wolverine and Sabertooth, Deadpool and Gambit were my favorite things in the movie. Sorry to the Deadpool fanboys for how Deadpool was treated towards the end of the movie, at least we know he'll have his own movie and he'll have his time to shine.

Basically, the cancer interacted with the artificial healing and caused him to be disfigured and yet at the same time still able to heal. Basically, the cancer is held at check by the artificial healing power, but at the same time, the cancer remains ever present.

Actually, he uses a device to teleport, so there is a little wrong with what they did with the movie. But this is a relatively small thing, overlooked without argument from many comic folk when faced with more worthy things to ***** about. The real issue to be had is as you said: the cyclops beams and adamantium-skeleton/hand-blades.

Adamantium can damage adamantium, given enough force. Temperature wouldn't play as much of a factor as you think it would, nor would Cyclops eye beams actually heat up anything (as the energy is actually concussive force rather than thermal or light-based).

Wait. Your name is "snikt". Are you really not familiar with the interaction of adamantium with other adamantium? Are you really not aware that Cyclops's optic beams are not heat or lasers?
