You're Telling Me! (1934) starring W.C. Fields, Larry "Buster" Crabbe, and Adrienne Ames.

Norman Z. McLeod:

It's A Gift (1934) starring W.C. Fields.
Here Come Cookie (1935) starring George Burns and Gracie Allen.

Even expanding the field to include previously ruled out films isn't generating too many more options (and I'm pretty sure it was recently reaffirmed that all 1930s films in the deal were previously released on DVD), so if it's 1930s Universal, it's likely one of those above. I'm not certain how well known either directors are (Norman Z. McLeod did 2 of the Paramount Marx. Bros films, Erle C. Kenton directed Island Of Lost Souls (1932) and some of the Abbott & Costello films), although Kino has picked up a few films from Norman Z. McLeod in the past (Road To Rio, The Paleface, Alice In Wonderland (1933) and Alias Jesse James) for what it's worth.
I thought we were done with WC Fields films though? Aren't they apparently with Criterion?

Tomorrow's announcements are both STUDIOCANAL and both September releases.

3 of the remaining 6 SC titles should be revealed soon, all three are coming in September.

2 others are Kino Classics August releases and both should be announced soon.

We received the master for the Italian one in the wrong aspect ratio, so that one won't be out for a while.

Supposedly it was said they were, but then it was corrected to say it was only The Bank Dick and some shorts with them, and there wasn't any other word on it after that. Right now from a numbers perspective, there should be at least 1 Fields film for 1934 (as there aren't enough non-Fields to fill all 4 remaining slots) unless something was accidentally ruled out.

Good news! Will be interesting to see what it revealed tomorrow since it's the same director.

I've been really enjoy the French film you guys have been putting out. Can't wait for your line up on June 8th with the Belmondo titles.

Hope you guys do another deal with Studio Canal in the near future. So many great Belmondo and Delon titles that would make for great releases.

So we know both are French, and both are from the 60s. They also have one Belmondo film left from this decade if that helps.

That one is Eastern Promises.

Also, we were misinformed before regarding the Eastern Promises film elements. We will be creating our 4K HDR master from the 2K DI master and not the original camera negative (as I had said before), since it does not exist.

I’m dying to know about the soon-to-be added Universal titles. I have a feeling it’ll knock a whole lot of titles off my wishlist and upgrade list.

We'll also be distributing 2 Alain Delon films, to be released as a double feature by Cohen Film Collection. Coming August 31st.

Hint, both are directed by the same person.

Thanks for that. Again, glad that we should be hearing about them shortly.

Thanks to Kino I feel like French cinema is getting a fair share here. I do hope you guys continue with it.

Yes, we just received the masters for HUNCHBACK and 13 WASHINGTON SQUARE, so both should be out September or October.

Hopefully itīs not the Lino Ventura film "Illustrious Corpses" with the wrong aspect ratio.

We're hoping for a November release.

And if it is November, the artwork/specs should be announced in about 2 months, we're starting to announce September.

Well, that sucks. To have a 2K upscale for a movie shot on film is a letdown in and of itself, however HDR is the bigger part of the equation with HDR for me... but how much genuine improvement can HDR add without going back to the negative? I mean, the source here is going to be a 2K DI created 14 years ago, so aren’t you just working with the inherent dynamic range of whatever the technology was capable of, as well as the scanning parameters they put in place at that time?

Kino Lorber Insider - What's the deal with MGM's CREATURE (1985, aka TITAN FIND)? I keep waiting for someone to blu it, but at this point I'm thinking legal troubles are keeping that one from getting the high definition treatment.
