I really don't understand why they are so afraid to recast. Surely they realise Harrison Ford won't be around forever, and won't be able to do 90% of the action sequences that he could do before?

Just get a younger actor in, for God's sake, and have Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones pass on the mantle to a recently discovered son.

I brought him up in this thread a page or so back. I definitely think he could do a stand-up job as a young Indy, and he really should've got the part as young Han Solo too.

But I guess we'll find out what will actually happen as time goes on.

It's the same result, either way. And neither is perfect and they always look fake and it's always jarring.
