I am not 100% sure what the vendor tab means, but I remember when a lot of Shout! and Scream blu-rays popped up at Wal-Mart last summer the vendor said Universal, but the titles in stores were the standard Scream Factory/Shout! Factory blu-rays.

I'm so confused by that listing, but if Shout Factory is making this, I can only pray it'll be an all-out collector's edition. I'm talking Manhunter levels of special features rounding up. Let's get that mono track in there once and for all.

The Universal listing has to be a mistake. Hopefully this release includes the TV version.

I feel like the only way to appease people with the colour timing is to release 2 version with colours resembling the 2013 Blu-ray and 1999 DVD.

Shout! Factory releases are distributed in Canada by Universal (it's the Canadian listing).

They then released it in a box set with the correct original mono. So they did get it right at least that one time. I would expect this to have the original mono.

Also, Dean Cundey’s Instagram post suggests either a new transfer (though I’d be surprised if that were the case) or at least a brand new interview with him.

I know the box set had the original mono, I was referring to said mono track not sounding that great (which the link I shared touched upon) and I'm hoping it will sound better this time.

Ah, I see. Sorry, I didn’t read that post very carefully. Here’s hoping for the best possible audio on this release—but I’d be happy with just the orig. mono soundtrack that’s on that Shout disc. I didn’t notice it sounding harsh or too noise-reduced, but I never A/B’d with another release. Is the Shout disc from the box set the only BD with the original mono? Or was there a very early BD that had it as well? I own 3 BD releases of it (2007, Shout’s box set discs, and the 35th Anniversary mediabook).

I think the 2007 is supposed to have a mono track, but I never owned it so I couldn't tell you if it was original or a downmix
