Before I place my order on their website, can anybody point me in the direction of what exactly their current "limited edition digipak" packaging is like? The picture provided on their website looks very cheap and flimsy. The only other Oscilloscope movie I own on Blu is The Messenger, but that digipak is very sturdy, has some weight to it, and I kinda like the design.

This was a solid movie. That price point though...

I received my copy today. The standard version comes in a clear blu ray case.

Is there a booklet of any kind? Inside art?

No slipcover I'm assuming? Wondering how the picture quality is compared to the imports.

I just picked this up from Oscilloscope ($34 + $6 S&H). Yes, the price is a little steep, but I’ve not purchased many movies this year, so I went ahead and splurged. Ordering was super-easy and super-fast. Plus, the Limited Edition Digipak is SOLD OUT, so I got the film with the standard BD case.

I’ve streamed this movie twice on Amazon Prime and have enjoyed it with both viewings. I have lousy internet and streaming (mostly SD viewing with lots of stops in the video), so watching this new BD will be like seeing the film for the first time – really looking forward to it!

P.S. In case you require it, like me, the blu-ray does come with English SDH (see image below).

Maybe found some additional copies in the back, says "5 left in stock" for me.

And just to be clear, the standard-case version is not limited and will probably be around for awhile? The wording in one of Oscilloscope's recent emails made me think both versions may not be available for long, but hopefully they were just referring to the Digipak version.

Broke down and ordered a copy. The price is way too expensive but I figured it may be limited and be sold out before finding it at a reasonable price.

The movie really is incredible for what it’s able to pull off on a shoestring budget. Didn’t this movie cost like $80,000?

That's a good question that I can't answer. Sorry.

UPDATE 07-03-2021: No, the standard, clear, plastic, blu-ray case does not come with a slip-cover.

I believe it was $50,000.

I went ahead and ordered the digipak. As I feared, the packaging is kind of cheap and easy to damage, but it was packaged well and will sit safely on my shelf. Price was steep but happy to support small distributors releasing movies like this.

I received COHERENCE from Oscilloscope in just two days. I watched it last night and really enjoyed it, even more so than when I saw it on Amazon Prime. It’s a different kind of film. Yes, the picture is classified as “science fiction,” but if there were such a thing as a Twilight Zone genre, I think this would fit in that category nicely – suspenseful Twilight Zone!

[Show spoiler]It brought to my mind the Twilight Zone episode with Vera Miles and Martin Milner called “Mirror Image.” One of my favorites from the classic series. One particular website reports of the episode:

“Parallel universes are a common concept in modern sci-fi, from Marvel movies to Fox series like Fringe. But Mirror Image might have been the first time that viewers heard of such an idea.”

I have no idea if James Ward Byrkit (director/writer) or Alex Manugian (writer) were inspired by "Mirror Image,” but I wouldn’t be surprised.

When I first caught this on Prime, I had absolutely no expectations. I had never heard of the film. I had no idea what it was about, and I did not watch the trailer. All I knew was that it had pretty good ratings. That’s all I knew, so the whole thing was a surprise on my first viewing (too bad, I can’t do that again). In any case, once the picture had ended, I immediately wanted to watch it again. A couple of nights later I did. Now I own the blu-ray.

It's a very "talky" picture. And, generally, I don't go for that kind of thing. But the movie manages to keep my attention throughout with its unique storyline. I find it to be somewhat like The Sixth Sense, in that repeat viewings are necessary to pick out every little clue that was missed on previous viewings. I could say more, but I'll leave it at that so as not to give anything away.

Great film!

Default Want it, but.

Wow, didn't know we were getting a US release! I've been considering the German Blu since I rented the movie three years ago...

But $33 for one disc and not even a slipcover? Sorry for the Oscillo-newb question but do they ever go on sale?

And sounds like while the digipack is limited / sold out, the Amaray is not, is that right? Don't want to completely miss it.

I know they do a sale on 4/20 every year at half-off, but I don't know how limited titles work for that. Pretty far away from getting that sale again too.

Maybe they do a Black Friday one too, not sure.

In the official Oscilloscope thread, someone posted that they seem to have them "around 4/20, Sept. back-to-school, and Black Friday, and typically 50% off". So maybe a couple months.

Nope, just a clear keepcase with inner print.

Only in mpeg 2 and BD-25 which is a bit disappointing. Is this correct??

As there are no English subtitles but it does have Danish, Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish, I'm guessing that this is simply the Scandinavian disc in US packaging.
