I saw NASHVILLE at an advance "sneak" preview. It played with THE DAY OF THE LOCUST, so that was a long double-bill. However, I loved both of them.
I recall hearing that the consensus of the opinion cards that patrons were asked to fill out (about NASHVILLE) was that NASHVILLE was good, but a bit overlong. I have always thought that many of those with that opinion might have been influenced by the length of THE DAY OF THE LOCUST, which was screened right before the sneak of NASHVILLE. LOCUST itself runs nearly two and a half hours. |
