No one runs as goofily as Ezra Miller as The Flash.

Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford out of action for at least 3 months, postponing film

HE’S taken on the Nazis, overcome the evil Thuggee cult and found the Holy Grail.

But when it comes to nasty shoulder injuries, Harrison Ford has had to finally admit defeat.

I can exclusively reveal that filming on the fifth Indiana Jones installment has been put on hold for at least three months while the acting veteran recovers.

It means the movie has been thrown into chaos once again after filming was previously pushed back because of the pandemic.

An insider said: “It is Harrison’s last outing as Indiana and everyone thought it would be plain sailing.

“After the initial delays everyone was raring to go. But now Harrison is injured and it is worse than first thought."

“The film’s bosses have come together to work out the scheduling and it’s chaos. The earliest they think they can restart the production is September.

“It was not what anyone was expecting so to have to change everything is a huge blow. Everyone was concerned for Harrison and they are glad he is on the mend.”

The actor was injured last week while filming a stunt.

At the time Disney released a statement confirming the news and saying that filming would continue.

It was then revealed Harrison would need surgery, bringing production to a standstill.

Now the film crew have got at least 12 weeks of thumb-twiddling, they had better get used to it.

Like most acting veterans, Harrison still insists on doing all his own stunts — even though he’s only two years shy of being 80 years old.

Steven Spielberg famously admitted he was an “idiot” for letting Harrison take on risky scenes such as the boulder run in Raiders Of The Lost Ark.

He said: “A double would have cheated his head down, so Harrison volunteered to do it himself.

“There were five shots of the rock from five different angles — each one done twice — so Harrison had to race the rock ten times.

“He won ten times — and beat the odds. He was lucky — and I was an idiot for letting him try it.”

In my eyes the risk definitely paid off. And I’ve no doubt Harrison will still be doing all his own stunts come the autumn.

I don't know how reliable The Irish Sun is but I have a hard time believing that Ford is being allowed to do a lot of his own stunts. He'll be 79 next month. That would be dumb as hell if true. He might be in good shape for his age but he's not Jack LaLanne.

Just read about this. What is it about Lucasfilm’s theatrical productions since the last decade, probably coincidence but relatively quite a lot of issues. I wish Ford a speedy recovery.

Since the last decade? Wild stab in the dark : you're not very familiar with J.W. Rinzler's 'Making Of' books for both Star Wars and Indiana Jones, are you?

To answer your query in a literal sense, though, the answer is 'coincidence'.

I own and read all the Rinzler and other books, I watched Empire of Dreams and other documentaries a lot, the problems they had were more like common production issues, I don't remember reading about 3 months delay?

What happened more recently is way worse for me, at least at the first thought. Okay I'll be honest, so maybe not really a decade, I'm just trying to avoid saying "since Disney" but that's what I actually meant. Rogue One, Solo, and now Indy that is 3 out of 6 productions.

I did say maybe a coincidence but in any case this is just a thought, nothing to get all defensive about. What is it with the Blu-ray forums now? Can't we say anything without being attacked at?

Really I don't mean anything offensive, just finds it curious.

No problem at all, apologies if my post cams over as an attack rather than a clarification, which was most assuredly the intent. This particular problem is not an equivalent problem to the ones encountered by Lucasfilm on Solo, but is comparable to the one encountered on The Force Awakens and The Temple of Doom.

I suppose the thing that makes the difference is that Lucasfilm and by extension Disney can afford to pay for hefty insurance fees in order for actors of Harrison Ford's age to perform these stunts.

Pretty stupid when they could just have him pass the mantle onto a younger actor or recast the role though.
