Absolutely thrilled that this is coming out. Tbh I actually thought a Halloween II UHD would be coming from Universal (as they were the first ones to put it out on blu-ray for its 30th anniversary in 2011).

Pretty stoked to see they’re putting out at least the first 4. Halloween 4 BADLY needed an upgrade. The blu-ray was always bad, even for its time. That is one of the biggest upgrades here.

No. I never said otherwise.

Oh, I get it. You're trying to use this quote against me. But you were talking about Cameron needing to "fix" True Lies, not arguing about an audio track's availability. The original Batman 89 mix is available. If you want it so bad, take the initiative and marry it to the 4K transfer.

All Halloween 4K listings are removed from dealsareus.ca. Probably they put them up for pre-order too soon. I think they will reappear eventually as they all had UPC numbers.

While this was expected news, I'm glad it happened quicker than I thought.
I'm very glad that I own both the deluxe HALLOWEEN and F13 sets to complete my library but will have the ability to upgrade to 4K only the installments of both series.
With this announcement I'll have the compete trilogy of parts 1, 2 and 4.
Hopefully, they'll do the same with parts 1 to 4 for F13 so my life can be complete... although I'd probably not pick up F13 part 3 as the latest true 3D version in the boxset is the only way I'll ever watch that title again.

Yeah the U.K has always had a raw deal where this franchise is concerned. I had to import the 15 disc box set for much pounds back in the day. Glad I did though as it’s rare now. At least at a reasonable price.

I'm surprised tbh. Especially with the new trilogy of films continuity. Still this is awesome!

Is there any other blu-ray release that's gone on to command such astronomical prices on the secondary market? I certainly can't think of one.

The Twilight Time edition of The Egyptian (1954). Not AS astronomical, but for a single disc it goes for a hefty amount online and it's become rare as hell.

Still kicking myself for not getting it when it was available. It's a Fox title too so it's unlikely to get re-released anytime soon.

I did this with the first film, but here's some notable stuff that hasn't been on either of Scream's releases:
  • Audio Commentary with Stephen Jones and Kim Newman (UK DVD)
  • Joe Bob Briggs’ MonsterVision - Halloween II Segments (No official release, but the footage is readily available on YouTube)
  • Halloween II by Éric Peretti (from the French Blu-Ray by Le Chat Qui Fume; not exactly sure what this is as I don't own the disc)
  • 25 Years of Terror: Halloween II Panel Discussion (25 Years of Terror DVD)
  • 40 Years of Terror: Halloween II Panel Discussion (No official release)

Additionally, the television cut that is included is missing one scene that the AMC Broadcast Master tape had.

What is the AMC scene specifically?
