Prime Video does have better AV quality than Netflix, and when Netflix does animation, they turn the bitrate way down.

An instrumental version of FMTTM was missing in last month's Italian cinema screening of Evangelion: Death (True)2/The End of Evangelion.

Still, if you see any version of Star Wars (non-special edition) on LD or VHS, snap it up. I also suggest watching this excellent video by the good captainsolo; |

Any release before 1997 should be fine in terms of visuals, aside from the "New Hope" subtitle for Star Wars, which was added in 1981.
As for audio, here's some snippets from an upcoming project I'm working on: Star Wars: The original original audio track is confirmed to be included on these releases: Quote:

Maybe it's different between the states and Germany, but I always thought that Netflix has a much better encoding and Dolby Vision, which would've been wonderful for Evangelion, imo.

Anyway, I wouldn't necessarily assume that there's absolutely nothing GKIDS can do. The Korean set appears to have been designed by the company putting it out, not to mention that it sounds like they produced a Korean dub themselves; it's not like everyone is just rubberstamping what Khara hands them and calling it a day. The companies releasing Evangelion outside of Japan seem to have at least some room to negotiate what's included and work out complications themselves. Considering "Fly Me to the Moon" is an American song, it might be easier for GKIDS to work out the licensing. I can't imagine they're not at least trying. |

Are you talking about the fan made ones? I heard some fans got a hold of the original films from an old inter positive master?
Anyway you can also get the original movies on DVD that were released along with the Special Edition ones, but they are based off the LD version which is worse but still better than the VHS releases. |
