Yup, anytime a 200 lb. man says that a doctor prescribed him a hormone only used by women, you have to step back and say hmmm

Until the news came out with the explanation about Manny I was quite surprised to hear the headline "Manny Ramirez tests positive for female fertility drugs" haha I had no idea they could be used to cover up steroids. And to think all these times I been pissin' dirty...............

I wonder if they will confirm Josh Hartnett as Loki and Natalie Portman in the cast this week.

He was decent in Star Trek and he does look the part of Thor pretty well (although as previous member also stated, he looks like a good "Captain America" too).

I'm fine with this choice and am looking forward to see what Branagh does with Thor.

I don't know this guy but I guess he blew them away in his audition. I'm just glad they finally cast Thor.

+1, with the director's history and now Hemsworth being cast, this is turning out to be very promising. Can't bloody wait

He's 6'3.5 and in good shape. I'm sure he'll do fine. Let's give him a chance. There was obviously a reason he was cast. He'll tower over the 5'8 RDJ and Iron Man (and Ed Norton if he's in it).

He's actually got some muscle to work with already. He should be able to bulk up a bit. There's pics out there with his shirt off and he's pretty cut. But I won't post those here.

I saw a few of those but even cut he looked around 190lbs and Thor should be huge, so unless they are just going to use movie magic and CGI muscles he's got to put on at least 30lbs more of muscle.

He's at least 210-220. Remember his height. A guy 6'3 1/2 would be Ed Norton skinny at 190. Thor has been drawn from very muscular to somewhat muscular. Take a look at the pic from the first I posted. This is the current Thor in the comics:

Sly Stallone Looked big in First Blood and Rocky 3 when he wasn't. He was just very cut. Brad Pitt and Eric Bana in Troy, Daniel Craig, Hugh Jackman. None of them have Mass. They all have definition that translate to big on screen. I'm not trying to convince you by any means (you've already stated you don't care for Thor anyway).

Really the most interesting tidbit to come out of these articles is the involvement of Marvel Studios:
Quote:
Feige decided to let Chris read again. And once Marvel put him on tape, it was "Oh my god".
Marvel is going to make sure this is right.

Same here. It has such an incredible amount of potential introducing a character like that to the modern screen.
