Station Six Sahara, Eyewitness, Man On The Run or Passport To Shame?
What are folks opinions on these four.
Eyewitness is a bit of a one-and-done: perfectly adequate for a lazy afternoon or a second feature but I'm not sure if there's enough there for a second viewing. Passport to Shame is a lurid little quota quickie but it definitely punched above its weight for me. My review here:

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...=326882&page=9

Not seen the other two.

Thanks i might drop Eyewitness & pick the other 3 up to go along with Rome Express. Passport To Shame sounds good & i'm a sucker for Diana Dors, the trailer for Man On The Run has also just sold me.

I picked up Sabotage from Amazon for £8 recently thinking it was OOP, so now I feel like selling it still sealed and then getting the 2 for offer.

It's back in stock at HMV.

In case I miss you on the forums during the actual day, let me wish you a very Happy Birthday now, my friend. Here's hoping your new birthday year is all kinds of gale inspirations to your imagination.

I have a friend who insists the transfer on ROME EXPRESS looks like yesterday's tortellini struck by lightning. Too late as I already ordered it, but has anyone seen it who might wail or sail that opinion?

Like the Blu-ray of The League of Gentlemen, The Hell Drivers Blu-ray also points to "This product is no longer available." on Network's site. Is that indicative of it going out of print? DVDs of both are still available.

Anyway, my orders so far:

[Show spoiler]I immediately regretted not adding Campbell's Kingdom and All Night Long to the second order…maybe I will get over the £0.70 I would have saved and make an additional order. I am also considering going back for The Man in Grey and The Square Ring.

edit: I did go back for more smh:

EDIT: while I'm on the topic: is there any logic to which titles go on sale? I've got a bunch of The British Film titles on my wishlist that are not included in this specific sale: The Thief of Bagdad, A Man about the House, The Smallest Show on Earth, and Green for Danger, plus the DVD of Hide and Seek, and then Behind the Mask and Honeymoon, which I assumed would be too new for the sale anyway. Are there any of these that never go on sale, so I may as well add onto a sale order?

I can’t say that there’s much logic involved but Network titles generally all drop in price over time AND often go on sale. They had a Flash sale earlier this year where everything was heavily discounted including new titles like Smallest Show.

The problem was you couldn't actually order anything, their website crapped itself under the load. Perhaps with the limited number of titles this time they're trying to avoid a repeat of that fiasco. Even when I was placing my order this time, the site was still horribly slow

Same thing happened to me a year or so back. I emailed Network and they said Hell Drivers was just waiting on a reprint; it eventually became available again. Email them, they should be able to confirm if it's the same scenario again.

Thanks, I did just that. For good measure I asked if the Blu-ray of Hot Enough for June (which doesn't appear in the site search at all) was out of print, and then added a request for a Blu-ray release of Hide and Seek.

I found it good fun and an interesting look at a 1950s showbiz world where TV was on the rise and variety theatres on the decline. The short films are fascinating curios, too.

But all are cinematic time capsules rather than genuinely good films. Good British tat, in other words, like the Adelphi films the BFI used to release.

Thanks. I might get this then along with something else. When does the BOGOF offer end?

For what it's worth, here was my experience:

A Blu-ray set and a DVD set I wanted disappeared from the NETWORK site so I wrote and inquired if for future reference, I can assume that means a title is OOP? They responded saying that the Blu-ray set I mentioned is not currently listed on their site and that the DVD set I was looking for is indeed OOP.

How's that for definitive?
