This was way before my time. Don't think I've ever seen it, but I've always been a huge Hanna-Barbera fan, so i'll do a little research and probably will be picking this up...

Do it. It was an extremely cool and even groundbreaking series.

Hoping Best Buy gets this up soon but they’ll probably wait until the last minute like they did with Thundarr and then sell through their allotment pretty quickly like they do with most all WAC titles.

Wife and I have, in the last 10 years or so, become huge fans of radio shows. Virginia Gregg is on show after show after show and we love her. She's the voice of Tara in The Herculoids so that means this is a MUST BUY.

Just got a review copy in the mail and hope to dig through it all during the next few days. Looks like the first two discs are dual-layered with 7 episodes each, and a third single-layered disc has the remaining 4 along with "First Family".

Is there a way to contact Warner archive to request replacement cases/slip art? My case arrived with some bits cracked off and the discs don't stay on, and then I looked at my Space Ghost set and noticed the slip art is all crumpled up. Is there any chance Warner Archive would send replacement cases and slip art?

I tried wasupport@warnerarchive.com and the email just bounced back as un-deliverable.

Where did you get it from? If it was Amazon, BB, Target or Walmart, they'll probably exchange it and/or send you a new copy.

It was Amazon but I've had several returns with them lately so I don't want to push it if avoidable. Plus I bought Space Ghost months ago so Amazon wouldn't replace that for me anyways.

Send it back for a replacement. You paid good money for that Expect nothing less than perfection from Amazon when they cheap out with their eco-packaging.

Honestly, though, most Blu-ray case designs suck. I've received way too many multi-disc cases with broken corners, hubs, and swing arms.

I've had a number of returns lately though and would rather not push it with Amazon with so many returns around the same time. I agree in theory that I shouldn't have to accept cracked cases due to Amazon's lousy packaging, which is why I have done several other returns lately. But I try to space my returns out so they don't hassle me.

Plus I bought Space Ghost months ago so they won't replace that. That one was Warner's fault for printing a bad slip art. I'd much rather contact Warner Archive. Is there no way to do this? They used to have an email but as I said it no longer works.

Why isn't there a sticky list somewhere with all the customer service contact emails for the different studios?

It's their own fault for packaging the stuff so poorly. I'd do as many returns as I could until they got the message. I highly doubt they're going to ban you or flag your account if you're a regular customer. They are mainly ran by robots anyhow at this point.

Right, but their algorithms decide when to flag a customer. And nobody knows what triggers it. Lots of people do get flagged and get warnings. My girlfriend got one several years ago from them after returning several damaged items in a row that were meant as Christmas gifts. After we contacted them they apologized and said we should not have received the warning, but still, they did send it out in the first place. One you're banned it's for life. I'd rather that not happen. As I said, I've returned a bunch of things over the last few months (not all movies) thanks to issues that were their fault and also the manufacturer's in a couple cases.

The Space Ghost slip art is Warner Archive's fault though. And there really should be a contact email for issues like this.

For those who have received their copy, what's the picture quality like? Is it better than that of the horrible DVD release? Is it anywhere near the quality of the recent Thundarr BD?

My copy is apparently set to arrive this Thursday, but I'm curious.

I'm very happy with how it looks. I don't know how the DVDs looked but I never thought I'd see this show in such quality. Terrific colors and the texture seems right for this type of animation.

I posted 30 screenshots in my review as well. It's a great-looking release and basically on par with Thundarr -- there's a little more dirt and debris, but nothing to worry about.
