Nothing wrong with what Rochelle told the press, excellent advice.

Oh, and to top it all off: thoracic arthritis.

My cardiologist says that my heart had been pumping infected blood for too long of a time due to the gall bladder problem. He is optimistic that my heart condition will improve with time, but this has yet to be confirmed. I also had high blood pressure during all of these concurrent issues, but that is now under control

I continue to have elevated liver enzymes (namely GGT) at 82; should be below 65.

Currently I am taking Carvedilol, Lisinoprol, Pantoprazole, Furosemide (as needed), and low dose aspirin. I am restricted to a cardio diet.

I see my cardiologist this Tuesday ahead of schedule as I am having some relapse issues. My fatigue has increased substantially after having improved and my cough has returned (this had recently been from fluid in the lungs due to my CHF).

There it all is; I don't think that I forgot anything. It is a lot for me to deal with and I have several doctors to juggle also. It can be overwhelming at times.
^ I see you’ve had a tough go of it, good to see they got to you soon enough and you pulled through as wife informs AC can be life threatening. Uncertain as to the cause though. Are you diabetic perhaps, or did a cardiac disorder lead to AC? It can go both ways, meaning AC-> cardiac issues and vice versa. Anyway, hang in there. Movies can be a good remedy to hard times.

Thank you. I intend to stay until they drag me outta here kicking and screaming. After all, I just learned how to do this:

All due to arrive tomorrow.

[Show spoiler]My recovery has been the toughest full time job that I have ever had. I try not to get discouraged, but I sometimes do. Coming here and conversing with everyone always lifts my spirits.

Movies, especially on physical media, are medicinal; they help to cure what ails you.

[Show spoiler]It was a close call; I was told that any one of my four major problems could have done me in, especially with all of them happening simultaneously. Somehow I got through it all, but it took a helluva of a toll leaving me as weak as a kitten.

I still can't gain any weight back on this restricted diet; I remain stuck at 137.5 pounds. I need pizza therapy in a bad way.

I am not diabetic. My cardiologist theorizes that the CAC caused the cardiac problems. With the gall bladder removed, he hopes to see my heart improve; how much it can is the big question.

Thank you for your concern and interest in my well being. It is always nice to meet another caring soul.

Have these four ordered. If I watch Cloverfield before they arrive I'll be temporarily caught up with seeing all the movies in my collection but it probably won't last. I had a list of like five movies that I wanted to buy last week but now it's over ten even after this purchase.

I have noticed that watch parties have started creeping into the conversation in the main film forums over the last several weeks. Bunch of film fans watching films while interacting on a laptop. It seems to get worse by the year thanks to streaming.

I said a while back it would catch on. What’s worse, apparently the easiest way to do this is Zoom. The downside is the awful video quality. The younger generation seem intent in going backwards.

I am not a fan of watch parties. I've also seen the ones where they go on platforms like Twitch and Youtube, but those are clearly designed to monetize the infliuencer's channel. I steer clear of those.

I hold watch parties; I invite you to my home and we watch a movie of your choice together and in person. Or, you invite me and I come to your home, but fair warning: if your home theater is nicer than mine you may have trouble getting me to leave. I'll bring the cheesy poofs.

That's the only kind of watch party that I will attend; the kind that leaves crumbs all over your couch or mine.

I can’t believe some people are happy watching films with others on Zoom, complete with lag and sub par quality. It’s bad enough folk still buy dvd. Sometimes people just leave me lost for words.

Sorry to hear of all the challenges you are navigating through my friend. Thank you for sharing, as that is quite the laundry list. Sucks that some of them have crept up again. Do us all a favor and be a good patient and follow all Dr’s orders. I got a pizza over here with your name on it once you are better.

I still buy DVD. You gotta problem wit dat?

Sometimes a DVD is the only way to get a title and I have found that our elven magic upscaling 4K wunderbar TVs give new life to DVDs. Buying a movie on DVD all but guarantees that it will be released on blu-ray within 6 months; it's uncanny how often that happens.

You know what I mean though? Buying it when better versions are available. I mean Zoom stutters every few minutes, I can’t even imagine watching a film that way. I’m guessing you think I’m over exaggerating and it’s not going to be a issue for those that enjoy films the proper way?

I just had pizza over the weekend for the first time since November 2020. Man, it hit the spot.

It was Dominos but after discovering the "Well done" option via the app, it makes all the difference.

Haven’t tried Dominoes yet, they are quite expensive compared to my local pizza delivery. The irony is, they are only 200 yards from my home!

They're way more expensive here if you use the delivery option. They're much cheaper when using the carryout option, which is what I do. The local joints out here are much more expensive in general, so I tend to steer clear of those, unfortunately.

You know that I do not spend much time or energy worrying about how other people choose to view movies beyond giving my opinion as to which way is better? If they want a crappy presentation, that's on them, not me.

When I want to socialize I insist upon the real thing whenever possible: genuine in person human interaction with real shared experiences. Of course, pandemic this and pandemic that has really thrown a wrench into throwing parties of any kind; maybe these online group viewings are partly a response to such concerns? I dunno, but I do know that I won't be watching anything that way.

I hate to be a snob, but Domino's is the pizza of last resort. It is the McDonalds of Pizza. Eat the box it comes in instead; at least the box has lots of dietary fiber.

Why are they expensive in that case?

I'd say they got better within the last 10-12 years or so when they did their last revamp and started using that garlic-herb crust. It's all about the hacks you can use that makes for an above average pie.

I usually order pan crust, extra sauce, and a minimum of 2 toppings, and a well done finish.

Pizza Hut is what I rarely get because they're expensive all the way around.

I think McDonald's has the best french fries around. The new spicy chicken sandwich is also pretty good.
