I didn't pay attention to any zooms. I'm sure they're still there. I wish dvdbeaver or caps-a-holic would do a vs match soon. I can't take screenshots and I'd love to see how they compare in stills. But a big difference in the experiences are depth of reality. The shot of Alice in the canoe at the end. You can almost smell camp. Full expanse of the lake is felt and the shot looks suitable for framing on Paramount's release. The shame is, my first experience with it, was on a backlit lcd TV. I was thinking I was going nuts...there's no way Friday the 13th 1-4 look better on my friend's TV! My eyesight is deceiving me!
I still haven't had the chance to play pt 5-8. Despite being from older 2k origins, if they put those transfers through this same mystery pizazz process. You know, because they're charging more.
