Excellent, I cannot wait to get this. I've not seen it in years (only on TV at that!) so I'll be looking forward to buying this on blu-ray.

I don't think so... Gaumont use their own masters and usually take good care of the PQ.

This is great news. For me, the director's cut is the only version of this film worth watching. I'm really banking on this being region free so I can add it to my Blu-ray library.
