I have that complete Avatar file and it looks amazing. It may not reflect the original intent. Maybe I shouldn't have downloaded it. But what the hell, until the real original arrives enjoying this Avatar and Titanic fake is a luxury and they look incredible oh my god.

With 4K, you enjoy beautiful 3840×2160 images—four times the resolution of Full-HD. That's why even on large-screen TVs, images look clear and realistic, not pixelated. Images that are down-converted from 4K to Full-HD have higher quality and greater resolution than images that are taken in Full-HD from the beginning. On a screen, 4K video contains more than 8 million pixels compared to just 2 million pixels for 1080p. That starts to add up with finer detail in the rendering of hair or feathers, as well as better quality overall when viewing the footage up close.

1080p will look best on a 1080p tv because of perfect 1:1 pixel mapping. There is no upscaling involved. 4K will look best on a 4K tv for the same reason.

Opinions vary, e.g. “This upscaled image will not be identical to a native 4K signal, but it should offer a better picture than what was previously available on your 720p or 1080p television.”

In gaming, AI accelerated image reconstruction can actually look better than native resolution many times.

You're quoting a bot, but I disagree with you in any case. I can see the pixels on a 1080p screen whereas the extra pixel density of a 4K display has no such issues, that's a separate thing from the upscaling engine itself making it look worse or betterer but even so: 4K FTW

Loved my Panasonic Plasma, and wish I had the option of buying one of their OLED panels.

Yes we were Panasonic's exclusive dealer for the consumer market in the US for the special edition they built for Hollywood studios. But sorry to say Panasonic stoped the production of the Hollywood edition of their consumer OLED TVs.

I wonder if Vincent will comment on the current LG batch[es] that are unable to handle HDCP 2.2? Hopefully he'll have some news during the week.
