Is Tremors considered a horror movie? I have never considered it to be horror.

Watched my blu-ray disc today. Picture and sound (2.0) was aces. Never had this much fun with this movie before. I finally found many things to appreciate about this movie. Maybe reading "Taking Shape" before played into that?

I've always called it a monster movie, similar to things like Congo, Arachnophobia, Anaconda etc., they all have horror elements, but not quite enough. But then something like Ticks is definitely horror to me. But I don't see anything wrong with calling Tremors horror, either.

Thought I saw them many years ago and would love to revisit them in 4K. I will pick them up when the prices get a bit better. Im glad I picked up H1 and 2 from walmart cheap and didnt have to pay amazon prices.

Me too. I think the rest of the films will come out next year. Of those, I'm only interested in H6 and H20. I'm hoping both the T-Cut and P-Cut of H6 get a 4K scan. I want to see them both in 4K. If only one cut gets the upgrade, I hope its the T-Cut. I enjoy that one more. (Though the P-Cut would probably look better and get the most out of a 4K upgrade)

Hopefully with H20 they will include all of the cut TV scenes as bonuses. (Though I doubt it because Shout is lazy and cheap)

I've been thinking about his too. Do you think, if it does come out from Scream!, that they would put both cuts on the same 4K disc? Or is that to much to put on a single 4K disc?

The two cuts together is a little over three hours, so I'd guess not, especially since they'd probably use two different transfers.

You couldn't use seamless branching, but you could fit both films on one UHD.

Maybe, because many people STILL haven't gone 4k yet and these sets are only coming one way, as these combo packs. The BD's contain the 2021 4k master as well fyi.


Anyway, with H6 they could just put both cuts on one UHD and save the special features for the BD's. Make a 3 disc set like H1 and 2.

Make it a 5-disc set, with the fifth disc featuring the three remaining cuts and bonus features that weren't included in the 15-disc set.

Scream has never put multiple cuts of a film on the same disc before, so I can't imagine they'd do that with a 4K release.

I guess it's more accurate to say they don't do seamless branching. Which is fine, it's not a huge deal to me but I know costs are always an issue so I guess I'm more curious if they'd only be able to make this potential release 3 discs with both cuts on the same 4k disc and then present them separately on the BDs with the extras. No doubt the bit rate and compression would be better if they each had separate 4k discs.
