It's a fake.

A very well done fake.

Here are my issues:

1 - We do not get to see the "business" side of the disc.
2 - No receipt copy
3 - The top security tag was nicely removed (all the words) except for some of the white.
4 - Why is the insert squared off? Why would Paramount have 2 different insert styles for HD-DVD and Blu-Ray? (The corners are rounded off on the HD-DVD version see pic)
5 - Only this one person has one. Nobody else anywhere has show proof of one.

And why exactly would someone go through all that trouble just to produce a fake? What would that achieve?

See third quote.

Pretty much.

Exactly. People love attention. This person goes to great pains to SHOW the viewer what they WANT to see. He never OFFERS anything other than what you see. Hell, even the barcode is only different by a couple numbers which do not make sense in the grand scheme of things.

Again, there is not view of the other side of the disc. No receipt copy. Hell, like I said, you can see the SECURITY DEVICE ENCLOSED sticker on the side, yet the top portion that usually states what DISC is in the case has been removed save for some of the white. Too convenient if your trying to prove a case.

My point. If you can find it, anyone can.

Receipt, the back of the disc, the disc shown loading/playing on a ps3, something to prove otherwise. After all, this is the internet

I agree. If that's a fake, it's by far the best fake that I've ever seen. They even got the barcode in sync with the numbers we're used to seeing from Paramount BD. I haven't seen any fakes on BD, mind you. But, as someone who has bought discs on eBay, I've come across quite a few fake DVDs over the years.

All the Paramount BDs that I have, have squared corners. The couple HD DVDs that I still have of there's, purchased before they started publishing on BD, have round corners. Nothing new about that.
