Honestly, it felt like they wanted the 2016 to be its own thing (outside of a few cameos) but now complain that it was excluded from the rest when it comes to this set.
I think the 'backlash' has been rather overblown, that Feig was half serious/half joking when he made that tweet (hence the Kids Choice Awards gag) but naturally that comment gets weaponised by all and sundry, each side agitating toward their own ends.

So then that means it's possible that there could be more, therefore this collection might be not worth it. Unless of course this is the only way to get the new Dolby Vision versions of the first 2 films.

Dude, there are always the possibilities of more movies with whatever franchise but you couldn't drag me away from getting this set.

It's saying I've used "PLUNGE" already, weirdest thing though is that there was some random code giving 10% off when I first clicked onto the basket and now it's gone because I tried "PLUNGE" and going back in the browser doesn't bring up that random code. Boo-urns.

[edit] No, wait, found it again on some code site, it's 82BT4X2D9 for 10% off. Huzzah!

Ordered. I honestly don’t know what else (in terms of extras) they could add to a future release to sweeten the deal.

Is DeepDiscount reliable? Do they ship each item on release day or all at once when all are released?

It does a terrible job of closing the story. The whole Egon story is 100% out-of-character and the drama in the climax of the movie stems from a bunch of our-of-character nonsense contrivances that happened between films that the writers came up with in the misguided hope of giving a 2-minute cameo more gravitas than any Ghostbusters movie could ever possibly need in the first place.

Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan apparently graduated from the JJ Abrams school of screenwriting. If you can recognize what JJA was doing when he split Han & Leia up and made Luke a hermit then you’ll see right through the lazy shortcut-to-super-dramatic-stuff storytelling in Afterlife.

Set is already sold out at Bull Moose. I missed out on the Columbia Classics 4K Vol 2 from them as well. Must be getting very small allocations for pre-order.

Hmm. New extras sound too good. Guess I'll buy these for the third time on this format.

Bit the bullet, this is literally the only franchise I can't complain spending $91 on with all that content. Despite owning like 15+ copies of these movies!

Sony Pictures GHOSTBUSTERS: The Reitman's Series!

Glad the first two films are DV and the original cinema audio. Heaps of bonus features too! Ecstatic this isn't Steelbook bollocks and proper slipcovers.
The only other GHOSTBUSTERS entry which truly belongs in this set is THE VIDEO GAME (2009) - REMASTERED (PC and whichever console it's on). Why? Because it's still set in the GHOSTBUSTERS "Reitman's Series/Universe", not that mistake of a 'reboot' which is its own entity entirely.
Might as well keep the below:

Afterlife seems to have made the video game non canon which is extremely disappointing.

I haven't seen Afterlife yet. Still have high regards towards The Video Game since it was the last time Ramis was Egon while still alive. RIP the awesome co-operative multiplayer when I had The Video Game for XBOX 360, it was very fun.

Well, looking at the extras and the new 4K UHD discs, I guess I need this set.

Yeah from what I heard the games story can no longer happen because of this movie’s plot points.
