Thank you for the reply. Have you ever had a case where you first order 2 copies for shipping (when the limit is 2), but then after their shipment are able to place an ISPU order for 2 backup copies on release day, in case the shipped ones are damaged?

I only need 2 (for me and a relative) and plan on canceling/returning the other 2 "backups". Normally, I never order backup/replacement copies for exchange, but after being burned by BB's shipping, damaged steelbooks, and loose/scratched discs recently, I just might for this release.

Did you pay by credit card? I believe preauthorizations on preorders don’t get you there, only actual charges to the card.

if you pay via paypal you get charged upfront with bestbuy.i learned this last year when i preordered some joy cons. preordered this steel and regular release yesterday and money was taken out of my bank account this morning

Was the money actually taken out of your bank account or is it just a pre-authorization transaction?

I pre-order everything through PayPal but I always have money in my PayPal account to cover it. PayPal never, ever charges me or removes the money for payment until the retailer (Best Buy, Zavvi or whoever) is ready to ship the items.

Maybe having the actual money in your PayPal account is the key.

I dunno. I've seen people posting about being charged immediately through PayPal when pre-ordering from Best Buy for a long time and I have always found it strange.

I'm always charged immediately when I use PayPal at BB regardless if I have money in my PP wallet or not.

Zavvi on the other hand only charges my PP when it ships.

Listing for the 4K and regular Blu-ray on here says April 12th. Do we know where that came from? Has there been an official announcement?

Hmm...

That doesn't sound right. It seems too far away given Sony's other recent films like Ghostbusters: Afterlife and the new Venom which got released on blu ray much sooner.

If I had to guess, based on those other two, No Way Home would probably release on March 15th or by the end of March.

That April 12th date may be the UK/European release date. Sometimes the home video release comes out a couple weeks later there.

I guess we will find out soon when Sony announces it.

Thanks for the info. That's interesting as it seems quite a bit later than I expected, unless it's a place holder in the sense that it's expected "by" April. Is there a specific date given or just the month? It's possible Sony may be delaying the release due to the film's success, or they may want to space out the digital and physical releases by about 4 weeks.
