However, by being open about what is said rather than disguising oneself as someone else leaves you open to scrutiny and also lawsuits.

Can you explain why a Microsoft spokesman is more trustworthy than a Sony spokesman on matters related to Sony technology?

Let me guess, you still believe in the tooth fairy because your parents told you so.

Ok, quarter-baked troll; "half-baked" was too generous.

Calling me a troll, means you can't come up with anything of value to say!!!

Can you please explain this comment. There is no lossless codec for video for these formats at the bitrates for either of them, so if you are talking only about audio, what is your point?

I'm not saying it is, but I definitely WILL not believe someone who is obviously in favor of one format tell me something without providing facts. Since, I'm a skeptic and believe companies are capable of lying, I would rather see open discussion than one sided ones!!!

Edit: Someone from within a company that has a vested interest in the war. I would rather have a challenge and response openess to these insiders who are providing information. The last I checked Amir had to respond to some tough question too.

Well, the name of this site is blu-ray.com. Perhaps that might have been your first clue that this site tends to favor one format over the other. The superior format, naturally.

Amir is digging his own grave. Even people who were genuinely neutral have turned against him. Every post just gets more and more ridiculous.

Which is why I wish Paid and Talk would respond and challenge as well in a nuetral forum, instead of a biased one such as this. What the purpose of posting only on this site if people here have already chosen sides?

The reason is that the deck is very obviously stacked against BD insiders over there. I've been following the format war thread for three years on AVS, and it's getting more and more absurd. There are yahoos on both sides who should shut the hell up, but there are far more of the HD DVD flavor on that other site. There is no way it can even pretend to be neutral anymore.

Quite possible to inform their customers of events or solicit recommendations from their customers on different matters...Paid has already affected change based on feedback from customers (positive changes)...Everything isn't about the format war.

A guy from MS spat on BD-50s and didn't give a single shred of evidence to support his claim and you're refusing to believe a guy with actual ties to BD-50 makers.

Dude, you're clownshoes. If you've completed any type of secondary education, I'd be amazed. I couldn't pay a homeless man with a drinking problem, PTSD, and a lobotomy to be this incoherent.

Amir lied to you. Paidgeek corrected him. L2R- Learn To Read.

You are part of the AVS Insiders thread getting locked again already. You carried a comment from here to there and made a big deal about it. It was not a question to insiders as the rules call for, just grand-standing and goading. You need to be banned from both forums.

The guy's a classic troll. Shows up here and feigns indignation that we're not "neutral". Brand X talking points and all.

Next!

Actually Paid was not forthcoming at all in his answer and their is still speculation as to what the actuall overall yields on BD50 discs are. There is no reason not to give out these numbers since it combines all of the factories in one lump and gives not competitor information which obviously they don't know. And BTW, I'm inclined to believe someone who gives a name and can be sued for liable if his assertions are incorrect. And If you want to get personal and can't respond with reason and respect than please don't respond at all. What did I do to offend you sir, that you have to question my education? Is this the type of rubbish that is allowed to be spread on these forums?
