Why couldn't they just use a normal outer box / slipbox like the Karate Kid Collection? That thing is horrible.

How did they force you to buy it? A guy showed up at my house and threatened to kill my entire family but I’ve heard that they do other stuff too, like I heard one guy was dangled off a hotel balcony.

I wish they would have had Ghostbusters 2 keep the same tone as part 1. It just felt like all of a sudden they were trying too hard to be cute and witty. It lost some of it's edge and the music felt weird to anyone else? Overall glad I got it for 9.99 on black friday. It looked better than part 1 though.

The price tag does give me pause, but I think it looks cool. I guess this is good for someone who doesn't already own these in 4K (physical or digital), plus you get the bonus discs and book. But I'll confess that I would've opted for a cheaper set without the premium packaging if that was a choice.

It’s not semantics. You’re complaining about being forced to buy something you weren’t forced to buy.

I’m not thrilled that I can’t see the new extras for the first two movies without buying Afterlife but nobody forced me to buy this or to spend what I spent on it.

The way I see it it's $30 for Afterlife, $20 a piece for 1 and 2 as they contain Dolby Vision and those special feature discs, $20 for the book (Which is a steal considering what it is). Then you get a flashy light up box for $10. Hell, I'd have spent $100 for all this stuff with no box, so it looking cheap is pretty irrelevant at the end of the day.
