Well there's 3 more MGM titles in the current deal - two 50s, one 60s - and I think (not sure) that all will be 4K UHD releases (pretty sure the 50s ones are).

I guess these are the likely contenders:

The Night of the Hunter
Sweet Smell of Success
Kiss Me Deadly
12 Angry Men

The Magnificent Seven
The Manchurian Candidate
The Graduate
It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
Midnight Cowboy

Isn't there also a 70s title (or what that already announced)?

If It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World [1963] gets 4KUHD love, I hope KL includes both cuts.

Will the Usual Suspects also get a Blu-ray with the new transfer? It really needs one and I would assume so, as most of the non criterion MGM one's have right?

It depends on what rights Kino received. If other licensees have 1080p Blu-ray privileges, then no. Some companies only get 4k rights. Others only 1080p rights. Some get both.

The last I heard the extended roadshow elements of IAMMMMW were either in terrible shape and possibly non salvageable or completely destroyed.

If that's still true, then a 4k release would probably be from the surviving theatrical elements (even that cut was not in the best condition) and a standard Blu-ray could be of the extended in whatever last best transfer they could get struck, which was years ago. Perhaps not even in HD.

Yeah, that's an upgrade of something Kino already have under licence from a previous deal. Are we thinking either Thunderbolt and Lightfoot or The Taking of Pelham 123?

Oh. My understanding is that the Kino previously-released title and this re-release from another label are separate. In regards to the Kino re-release, it's most likely Pelham as KLI has stated in the past that they obtained 4K rights to titles that they have done 4K scans/masters of which included "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot".

The Insider confirmed this week that Tentacles was the final 70s title from the recent MGM deal.

We had asked for The Dark Secret of Harvest Home, it was not available.

I have probably 12k individual releases in my collection (many autographed, rare, limited and oop) and I have never seen anything like this. Surely, there is a price at which someone, somewhere would be willing to part with their copy of Sangaree? What do you think it would cost? 1 or 2 million? Andy
We sold around 4,000 units each of the 3-D Blu-rays of Sangaree, Jivaro and Those Redheads from Seattle.

Extras, slipcovers and everything else are window dressing - no sense dressing up a window if there's no window
None of them except for Barton Fink had HD masters, the other were dropped and replaced with titles like the Porky's sequels, A Farewell to Arms, Prince of Foxes, etc.

DP Newton Thomas Sigel will be overseeing the 4K restoration from the original camera negative, so whatever issues there were with previous releases, should be resolved.

So I guess if I place an order with titles marked 'only ships to U.S and Canada', then it won't be shipped if I select Australia as the destination?
