This still has a chance to be released in Japan. We are waiting for Venom Let there be Carnage.

There won't be any news from Japan for this title for a long time.

While everyone waits, it would be worth finding a way to let Sony know that you want to see the film on 3D Blu-ray because they've been happy to dump out only the flat version for pre-order everywhere in the world so far and it's been selling very well.

With Venom 2 not getting a 3D BD in Japan, I guess that leaves at best only a little bit of hope for this one. Devastating.

Post the links here again and I will update the first post with them. Though I fear that the inevitable will still happen.

However, we shouldn't just focus on Sony Japan. Sony UK were all set to not release the last Spider-Man movie on 3D Blu-ray but something changed their minds. Sony can release the film anywhere they want. The problem is that they just don't want to and with the flat versions selling so well, that's unlikely to change.

A friend of mine who is in the business said that since NO WAY HOME is a totally different beast ($$$) we should not let our hope fade away. There is still a small chance of a 3D disc

I love 3D. My passion for 3D has really reignited over the past few months… but what hope is there for this movie?? A fool’s hope at best.

The market has shifted, there are few of us left. I continue to hope, but at this poojnt every 3D movie is a blessing. The only consolation is that the 3D in this film was mostly in the medium range. Of course, I saw it in a local AMC theater with the dimmest of bulbs.. and I would love a home 3D release to prove me wrong. I am one of the fools willing to pay 80 bucks for a MovieNex release and have Eternals currently on pre-order. Only time will tell.

if avatar 2 is the savior it will open another can of worms, its definitely not saving this current 3D tech, it will open up a new one with 8k tvs, 4k discs, new players, we will have to upgrade all over again, most likely what we have now will not be compatible... just wait and see.
