I've been watching PS5 comparison videos and honestly, I cannot see one bit of difference in image quality between performance and quality modes. It'd be silly not to play this in anything but performance mode.

I am playing in performance mode and getting some horrible frames in certain areas. Fun game though.

Oh, and whatever you don't Leeroy Jenkins

I'll gladly take the occasional frame dip over having to trudge through it entirely at 30fps (actually I think it averages more like 40-45 fps in quality mode).

Again, this insistence to run at 4K infuriates me! It's such a waste of the performance budget! Knock that damn thing down to 1800p or 1440p and give us a stable, constant 60!

Agreed. Performance and pixel quality are so much more important than pixel count.

So Bandai Namco pulled a Cyberpunk on everyone and every reviewer gives this a 10 and calls it a masterpiece. Sad they an low standards.

What are you on about? Cyberpunk was borderline unplayable, that is not the case here. Granted I only have a couple hours played, but the game is not broken as you say.

Am I missing something?

Yeah the Cyberpunk comparison is just ridiculous. I think what he meant to say is that the game isn't terribly optimized.

No you're not. I'm 10 hours in and I've had no issues. Game runs and plays fantastic. Some people are just looking for a reason to *****.

No issues here, but I've got a pretty nice rig. Definitely could use some optimization, though. This is a FromSoft/Namco release so I'm not super surprised. The lack of Ultrawide support from the majority of Japanese devs continues to baffle me.

Cyberpunk was 100% unplayable for me crashing every 10-15 min. I guess they patched it and it got better, but right now I would not know because I got my refund.

so far, this game is not broken. no complaints on PS5. Maybe its different on PC? hard to tell, some are saying they are having zero issues.

Some people just have to be a spoon ... No comment about the actual game or anything from personal experience .. just regurgitating what is on the internet

Went to GameStop and picked up my husband's preorder for him to have when he wakes up. He's been anticipating this game for weeks. The trailers have looked amazing.

Picked up my copy from Best Buy, but they're mailing out the pre order bonus steelbook. Probably because I pre-ordered at the last minute, unless anyone else here is experiencing the same thing.

Not a huge deal, as I got the game, but it was interesting to note.

So, for the majority is the game working fine and how does it compare to say Bloodborne?

For the mass majority the game is just fine. Especially on console. In regards to Bloodborne this plays much more like Dark Souls than Bloodborne. The performance is much better than Bloodborne as well cause they had some bad framerate drops.

This might be a better game but I still think I love Bloodborne more after about 14 hours of playing it.

An option would be welcome, yes.

With PC, it's such a challenge because everyone might have varying hardware installed with different results, unlike with the consistency of a console.

I'm surprised to hear you like Bloodborne better than Elden Ring so far anyway. If you prefer the more linear paths compared to open world stuff, that could be the reason.
