Nobody that is a film fan usually expects sequels to match or surpass the original, still if the movie has lots of cool visual effects, ample action, good sonic bubble to exist in, that’s easily better then a lot you have purchased in the past isn’t it?

Why would one that has any degree of smarts maintain that watching only streaming satisfies everyone? It’s like the minimum standard out there, nothing to boost about. If your ok with something less impressive and you don’t really care about the cinema experience at home, hey we all are ok with that. It’s also ok to be jealous of what we use.

The cast of Cocoon are not going to convince me to go digital only!

Nothing to be afraid of, just start with lower volume till you know more about how things are going to shake out. The 16, 20 and 25 Hz tones may not be all that audible, they are more of a feel and depends on room and subs.

Eye (and ear) candy only carries a movie so far. A good, or at least fun, story is still needed along with decent performances. I have plenty of such movies in my cinematic candy dish already.

I might try to watch Matrix Resurrectum (tm) on some streaming platform as you have helped to elevate my interest to next to next to next to nothing. I might even buy it someday if it drops to $10 or less just to satisfy the completionist in me, but some sequels are so bad that even that desire can't justify a purchase; looking at you A Good Day To Die Hard.

We await your verdict with baited breath. I have plenty more "next to"s to put in front of my "no interest."

Packaging is often more important than the movie itself if the number of comments about it are any indication. Play by play shipping updates are a close second.

Anyone here in the US ever have Voom HD? Same for PrimeStar? Used to watch some Voom HD content via Dish Network. Never subbed to PrimeStar because we had DirecTV in those periods.

I never said only Streaming, I said have access to what Streaming Services. Also that our Generation watches newly released Movies on Subscription Streaming. I know you guys will keep buying Discs as long as they keep making them, and that's okay. As for the Quality of Streaming I still say it's Subjective, and very dependent on your budget, equipment, and setup!

Since you bought Independence Day: Resurgence I can't help but laugh. Hey its all good depending on what mood you have for viewing various films on media.

So how many digital copies have you guys lost over the years? I had a copies just vanish for days at a time in the past and a Funimation digital copy just went poof months ago and never came back. I have a couple of shout digital copies that are hard enough to access that I honestly don't know if they are gone or not.

Dealing with support anytime you have a problem is also pretty horrible. Digital is very convenient when its working but anytime theirs a problem its horrendous to get it fixed.

Honestly I have a pretty good memory but if a film vanished from my collection idk if I would always catch it.

Thats all you talk about ,streaming, streaming, streaming, and more streaming. As we said it doesn't bother us, but don't go denying what you mostly utilize.

I never got into UltraViolet, as they were too limited to Sony, Paramount Pictures and Lionsgate. Disneys MoviesAnywhere along with Vudu was where I first started utilizing digital copies to supplement on the go entertainment or with traveling. Not like I wanted to take media or rip files to storage. Funimation Anime titles I seen on other streaming hosts. I lost only lost some limited time digital copy rights with TV shows. Its with TV shows its a lot harder to retain them then films online IMHO.

Don't know if I mentioned it or not, but speaking of streaming, iTunes has Gravity in HD with Atmos for $4.99. The Blu-ray that had Atmos goes for over $100 (up to $200) on the secondary market since it's OOP.

Generally the only films I resold are Disney films because they held their value so well in the past. At one point I would buy collections because it was cheaper to buy a collection then to basically point out the diamonds in somebody's collection. But overall the only reason it was worth the trouble was because of the vault.

Its also just a hell of a lot more enjoyable to sell a dvd for 20 and buy a blu ray for 8 then to sell your extra dvd for a quarter a lot of resellers will give you lol.
