There won't be an import version, it's solely owned by Universal.

And you guys can look up if there's going to be a port... just google the movie... go to the movie's wikipedia page... and see who it's distributed by. If there's only one studio listed, there will be no port. But if there are two studios listed... and they list the countries they're being release in, then there might be a port if one of them is BR exclusive. For example, check out Bruce Almighty's wikipedia page and look at the right side-bar where it says distributed by:

Have an HD-DVD player and won't even buy it for HD-DVD. Knocked up was crap in my opinion. I was expecting something of 40 year old virgin calibre, but that movie didn't arrive until Superbad, which I thought was hilarious.

Haha, anyone who saw the end of Knocked Up shouldnt want to see that in hi def! LOL

Seriously though, I liked Knocked Up, but I dont mind SD for this one. If it was coming to Blu, I would buy it. But I'm not upset that it isnt. Same with Superbad, only it will come to Bluray, so I will buy it.

Oh, and of the two I liked Superbad more, and I liked them both better than 40 Year Old Virgin.

Yeah as much as i love High Def Knocked Up can only look so good. I do admit the special features would be nice on Blu Ray with trivia and other stuff popping up, or BD Java features as well.

I would rather have Superbad then Knocked Up as I thought Superbad was much funnier and a better movie overall

Cross media advertising is huge anymore.

Microsoft pays a LOT of money to promote Xbox in films, though so do many other companies, its nothing new, just getting worse, more in your face obvious, more repetitive, and more annoying.
Just recently, in Disturbia, the xbox logo on the screen is extra big so that it can be seen clearly, surely not the directors idea to help the film.

And advertising in games was started to "lower" game prices, anybody seen game prices go down?

I heard Microsoft purchased the advertising company that did the commercial...

Both did good as far as user ratings go, but superbad did better...

Superbad (8.5/10)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0829482/

Knocked Up (8.0/10)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0478311/

I have not seen either yet, but they both look good.

Universal does not matter though, in less than 2 years all movies will be coming out on blu-ray, sales and stock holders will force them to switch eventually.
