Ya, I got the same coupon and have been considering whether I should get them now or hold off till a re-release, fully loaded version comes out. Only thing is I don't want to have to wait till the 4th movie comes out to get these, which is when they'd probably re-release it, right? What to do.....

I had to send mine back to Amazon for the refund. That's how ruined it was.
What condition were the movies in?

The trilogy looks amazing! I was randomly at Fry's in Sacramento and found it on sale for $30. I had to pick it up! This was a while ago..

The reason I would pause before buying this set is the absolute lack of any special features for films 1 and 2. As an owner of the 3-disc version on film 1, and the 2 disc version of film 2 with the extra 2 discs for the altnernate cut of the film with even more bonus crap...I couldn't believe both films were bare bones on Blu-Ray.

So buyer beware -- these are coming out again, probably sooner rather than later, with the bonus features included (plus more goodies, I'm certain). If all you want are the films, buy away. If you want something more substantial, you're going to have to wait.
That is the exact reason why I am waiting. This is probably my favorite modern trilogy besides Bourne and I want to be as complete as possible. They'll release it again eventually.

Any news yet of an individual release for Spider-Man 1 & 2? When the trilogy came out I assumed the individual releases with bonus material would be coming before long and only bought Spidey 3. Now it's been almost 2 years and still no sign of them? At this rate I should have picked up the trilogy when I saw it for $40.

It's definitely worth investing in this set, especially if you're a fan of the movies. The Spider-Man 3 included in this set is a 2-disc edition (whereas the seperate release was a 1-disc edition), with the second disc containing extras.

I had the 3rd movie for free with my PS3 but still this set was the first BD I purchased. Dropped 10.000 Yen to get this Japanese box set, which has better covers & a great box compared to the US edition, I think.

If you do a search on the forums, you can find other threads about this set, with lots of pictures.

IMHO this set is a must have. PQ and AQ are outstanding. Infact, I think the 3rd is reference AQ for sure and PQ as well.

Sorry, my bad. I meant the free give-away version of Spidey 3 is one disc only.

With Spider-man4 in the works,I won't hold my breath for these to be release anytime soon. Most likely they will try to get people to double dip once the fourth one is near a release date.

It's funny these are "catalog" titles now, this set is pretty void of extras, save for the 2 discs of Spidey 3,this set is still so damn expensive($49.99) ,I mean here is an example,"The Star Trek Trilogy" is available as low as $29.99 and has 3 great films and lots of nice extras on each disc! Just my opinion, but i'm sure some will agree!

Default Target one case version

I have the version where it's all in one case. These are available exclusively from Target I believe. Lack of extras on movie 1 & 2 is sucky, but oh well.

I held off on the set because I got Spiderman 3 free with my PS3 and figured they'd release the first two individually eventually. It's been long enough now though that I don't expect them before Spiderman 4 is released in theaters. I'd expect them to be new editions with more extras though, to try and get people to double dip, like Moefiz stated.

I just want parts 1 and 2. Think we'll get separate releases by the holiday season?

The single thick case is a Target exclusive. Took forever for us to hunt it down and that was a year ago. Have not seen it since. Was hoping that the Pirates and Resident Evil trilogy had the single thick cases at Target too, but no luck.

Watching this trilogy in succession has made me realise how much of a ho Mary Jane is. Gwen Stacey FTW. Three is the best transfer, whilst number one has some crushed blacks in darker scenes. Still one of the best trilogies next to Bourne. Bourne>Spidey>Transporter>X-Men for sure.
