Default Is DD5.1 High Def audio? Vote

Now some of the hd dvd zealots are even voting for dd 5.1 because thats mostly what their chosen format supports.
Those of us that know that PCM, DD-THD and DTS-MA are the real HD audio formats vote here.

Anyone that votes yes to that really shows everyone how pathetically ignorant they are.

32 people have voted for dd 5.1 as being HD audio so far, so its safe to say that at least 32 M/S employees are posting at AVMS.

Well, they are nuts then, and this is coming from someone who owns both formats and updated all his sound equipment because DD 5.1 was not good enough, PCM and DD TrueHD sound f'ing great, but I care nothing about DTS HD-Master Audio since I have no idea what it sounds like, stupid of Fox for using it.

Do they really mean DD+?

BD 640kbps is pretty darn good though.

But we have the space and bandwidth and no need to compress the audio into a lossy state. Dolby TrueHD or PCM!
