I just couldn't get past some of the sillyness in Indy 4.

Ants carrying a grown, struggling man.
Shia sword fighting
Shia swinging Tarazan style

Other than that, it was decent; however, it seemed to lack any real danger. Compared to the grittiness of the other 3, this one seemed quite tame.

Indy 1 was quite visceral. People bled when punched or getting shot. You felt the pain. By the time Indy 4 came about, it seemed that no one so much as got a bruise after many, many punches. It felt more like the new Star Wars movies - geared towards kids more than adults.

Anyway, I'm always open to a new Indy movie. Still a fun character.

I'll have what Beast is having.

I need an other world experience the likes of which most designer drugs won't be able to offer.

Seriously though, your credibility is taking a few hits here man, thinking that Jar Jar is a good character and now thinking that Indy 4 was every bit as good as the first one? Really?

I do have a question for you though, are you {in fact} Uwe Boll?

And I'm sure that there are tons of people who loved Indy 4. {judging by mass alone}

But most folks just don't.

Which is fine Logan, I got no problem with people disliking the movie. I just find it tiresome to see them come and complaint about it everytime a thread is open. Like I said I don't go in every Godfather thread and posting my dislike of that movie. There come's a time when they need to let it go.

What they could do instead open a thread with the Subject "I Hate Lucas & Indy 4 Along With The Prequels, Don't Post If You Like Them"

If you don't like seeing some healthy Indy 4 bashing, then don't open the thread and keep it at the top by responding.

I don't want my hand cut off, so I try to not stick it in the blender.

I would embrace this. This and The Star Wars Saga I saw every film in theater with my mom. My mom is a big Indy and Star Wars fan actually....

I agree with you on The Godfather. I was bored watching that movie too. As for everyone being nice here...

trust me everyone is nice here. Compared to other places I've been. You cant destroy/ tear down someone here like you can at some places. Personally I dont mind. Its cool being able to come to a forum where moderators actually....uh....moderate. Most places they just kinda sit back and enjoy the show.

Which I agree, in general people on here are very descent. Been around the Net now for 15 years (yep that long ago ) seen many different forums over the years and people on here are extremely nice. Sure there is disagrements (movies taste, setup, equipments...) but if we all love the samethings life would be a boring place anyway

Well, if the time period between the first indy 4 rumor is any indication of when we'd be seeing Indy 5, Shia will have to take the lead (eek!) because Harrison will be dust.

Hopefully, they can make a solid announcement before I make any decisions about buying the first four on blu (not that that is happening any time soon). Just saying... it would suck to buy the four-pack and the fifth is announced a week later.

It would be very weird without Paramount putting it through. I wasn't a fan of the fourth but it's still Indy and hearing that music again in the theatre was all worth it and it will be again. If Indy 5 comes through.

Thank you! I totally agree. If you go back and watch the original 3, you'll see that 4 was just as good. Hands down better than Temple of Doom...but that's not saying much.

This thread is about a possible 5th Indy movie, let's not turn it into another 300 posts of "Lucas as raped my childhood".
Agreed. Can't stand the Godfather films either. It was torture to watch the first one.

And well said, my like-minded friend.
