He should be glad his mom didn't curse him with a really short height. Granted, he's not tall, but after seeing how short she is, it could've been a lot worse.

She's wearing cowboy boots, and he's still a foot and a half taller than her. Maybe his dad was Andre the Giant.

It might be a huge put-on, but Shia LaBeouf sounds pretty unhappy in an interview in this Sunday’s edition of Parade magazine, now available on the Web.
“Actors live dependent on being validated by other people’s opinions,” LaBeouf, who stars in the forthcoming “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” told the magazine’s Dotson Rader. “I don’t understand what it is I do that people want. I don’t know what an actor does. I have no credentials. I don’t know what I’m doing. To my mind, talent doesn’t really exist. Talent is like a card player’s luck. It is motivation, ambition, and luck. It’s just a drive to be the best. I think acting is a con game.”
Later, he added, “Acting is instinctual. The good actors are all screwed up. They’re all in pain. It’s a profession of bottom-feeders and heartbroken people.”
LaBeouf himself is, apparently, recovering from a broken heart. He broke up with China Brezner, the daughter of “The Greatest Game Ever Played” producer Larry Brezner. LaBeouf starred in the movie, which was based on Mark Frost’s book.
“Why did the love of my life and I break up?” he said. “Man, I have no idea. What was that all about? I have no answers to anything. None.”
Then he said, “Why am I an alcoholic? I haven’t a damn clue! What is life about? I don’t know.” LaBeouf was arrested for drunken driving last year, and also had a drunken run-in with guards at a Chicago Walgreens in 2007.
The interview is full of revelations, including memories of his “hippie childhood,” which included dressing up in a clown costume to help his father sell hot dogs, and doing stand-up at age 10.
The upshot is that LaBeouf seems to have developed a well-worn cynicism about everything, even as he tries to work out what he’s doing.
“I’m still doing the same hustle now,” he continues. “The only change is that, instead of my dad selling hot dogs from the cart, it’s ["Transformers" producer] Steven Spielberg selling the hot dogs.”

Megan Fox is a tough tomboy, I doubt she'd go for a mild-mannered effeminate guy like Shia LeBoring.

However, if my happiness comes from being an electrician, it shouldn't matter if I have a lot of money or not, even though I would enjoy more money (not saying that more money would keep me happy though).
Shia appears to be UNhappy with his career, and his money hasnt brought him happiness either. I see what you are saying.

Money may provide freedom and security, but there are many things that money can NOT fix.

Hence Shia LeBoring's drinking and whining and depression, all of which tell me he either doesn't want to be an actor or can't handle the fame or both.

Free speech is a wonderful thing in this country but you can not just say what ever you want. There are limits to "free speech"

Sounds like he's venting.

What does he have against Spielberg though?

I actually like his candor. I find nothing really wrong or disturbing about his comments. If anything he compared Spielberg to his dad.

If he doesn't want to act then I'm sure someone would be willing to take his place. Nobody is forcing him, so he should stop being a ***** about it.

they say the best actors are pretty f***ing crazy... I'm not saying he's a great actor, but he's not bad. And it makes sense that he's an alcoholic and has daddy issues.

I mean James Dean was a masochist. He liked to get beat up, like pummeled. If you find a great actor that isn't weird, you just aren't looking hard enough.

They raised the prices at the IMAX theatres around me. The IMAX-lite theater jumped up to $15.50 and the real one jumped up to $17. But I paid $17 per ticket plus the Fandango convenience charge. Oh well, what can you do? I don't want it to sell out before I get my tickets.
